Move It Now - Canton

Move It Now Canton completely ruined our move. They were scheduled to move us on Labor Day weekend, and we set the expectation with Greg, that we had a storage unit that we were emptying and moving its contents to our new residence. Greg confirmed this with us, and said it would be no problem. When the crew arrived (an hour late), they had somehow come to the misunderstanding, that we moving from a 2 bedroom apartment and dividing half of our stuff between the storage unit and our 6 bedroom house.

I have had a horrible time with move it now. They moved me on February 14th of this year after my father died on February 1st. During the move they lost several of my items. I didn't notice until I was putting things away after the funeral and things had calmed down. I have an antique doll bed that belongs to my daughter's great grandmother. The 2 bed rails were missing, rendering the bed worthless. After repeated calls for them to locate the missing items, I received no return calls.

CAUTION!! They moved us on June 2, 2021 from North Canton to Lakewood. They arrived a little after 9am. My husband stayed behind with them. I do not know where to start. We had a two bedroom apartment and a garage full of stuff. Everything was taken down, wrapped and ready to go. They moved at a snails pace, taking one box at a time to the truck. After a few hours, my husband started smelling marijuana and they started to move even slower. My husband had to fill all of our wardrobe boxes himself.

What a terrible experience! We talked with Gary, the owner, to let him know that his movers (the first time we used them) were on their phones a lot. He guaranteed us that this would not happen this time. Instead, the movers were high and lighting up by their truck. He said "That is not how we do things." We told him we watched them smoke and could smell it. The movers loaded the truck as we moved out of state. When we unpacked the truck, there were two TVs broken, furniture scratched, and other items broken.

The guys from Move It Now were efficient and worked hard to get the job done. However, the information that I received along with my quote does not match the actions of your employees. The quote CLEARLY states that clothing may be left in dressers. The majority of my clothing was taken out of the drawers and thrown onto the floor without my knowledge! I would have appreciated being notified that this was an integral step in getting the job done.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS - they moved a book collection for me yesterday and brought a truck that had a history of a leaking roof. The drivers knew it, the company new it, they also knew exactly what they were moving and said nothing. The damage was over $75,000. The owner Gary doesn't call you back when his drivers tell you he will. He doesn't respond to emails. Just ignores you when you have an issue. Painful lesson learned.

Some friends of mine used these movers and there future was damaged by the time it got to there place. And the insurance you can get with it not any good. I see all the reviews are good on here but just becarful if you use them you won't get your money back if your stuff is damaged.

Stolen family heirloom! Do not use this company. Contacted move it now office, no resolution. Filed police report. One or both movers entered a bathroom without permission or needing to move items into the room and stole a family heirloom.
