All My Sons Moving & Storage

Absolutely the WORST moving company I have ever dealt with. I had an appointment scheduled with All My Sons for 8:00 AM on a Saturday, and I took the day off work specifically for this move. At the last minute, I received a call from an assistant manager saying their truck had broken down and they needed to push my appointment to 11:00 AM. I agreed, trying to be understanding. Big mistake. 11:00 AM came and went—no call, no show.

UPDATE: I served in the Navy for 31 years. During my career I had numerous household goods moves to bases overseas, across the country, and sometimes into storage. I never had to file a claim. The distance of this move was approximately one mile. Having had an opportunity to unpack I found the following: 1 TV Screen damaged Several missing items, most of which were retirement gifts that are irreplaceable. After going back to the old house - I found that many items were not packed and left in the closets.

Do not use them. I had used this company twice in the past with good results, so I felt safe using them again for a move from one house to another house. I called for the quote and everything sounded great. They reassured me that they used professionals and the price seemed reasonable (still expensive). I thought I would save some time but prewrapping drawers and other belongings in plastic wrap. As they were loading the washer, it was only one worker working on it.

I am updating my review and changing to 1 star. Recently my daughter called to book a move. Paid a deposit upon booking. The next day, someone called to confirm the details and changed the one hour minimum to two hours and instead of $149 it would be $500 minimum. So she cancelled. I had my daughter call because we had such a great experience previously. In our time of need, they only wanted to profit substantially.

Please be careful when using this company, get everything in writing. An $800 quote cost me $1300. They can’t load anything until they wrap it, and that’s where it gets really, really expensive. They take a very long time wrapping everything up while charging you $160 an hour to do it. Plus they never mentioned to us that it was mandatory that they wrap everything up.

Do not, by any means, go through this company. I paid nearly 700 dollars to have furniture moved from a two bedroom apartment to our new home which is literally 10 minutes away driving. We were thinking we would be paying no more than 3-400 dollars for service as we only had furniture moved because we packed and moved the boxes on our own. They tell you what fees you’ll be responsible for, however, do not go into detail about just how easy it is for those fees to turn into over half a thousand dollars.

I set up to move with these guys and it was kind of short notice but they were able to accommodate me. A couple days prior I was contacted about what time to expect them and last minute details. I’m a single mom who works overnights 12 1/2-13 hour shifts so having help was nice. I packed a good majority of my stuff but needed them to help with the kitchen and a few things in my daughter’s room. They were an hour later than what I was told. They were professional and packed and moved fairly quickly.

I've always had a problem finding decent movers and this time was unfortunately the same as always. Movers showed up and got to work. I was impressed with the loading of the truck. No issues there. However, when it came time to unload, things were different. Wound up with some serious corner joint damage to doorways from things being rammed into the corners. A large gouge in the front door frame that left an area splintered off. And the one thing I prized the most? Also damaged.
