AB Moving

If I could give zero stars, I would. AB Moving is hands down the worst moving company I’ve ever dealt with. They dragged their feet the entire move and then overcharged for it. Even worse, they were careless and blatantly disrespectful with our belongings. At one point, the movers were juggling a signed basketball in front of us, which alone shows how little regard they had for our property.

The customer service rep and people at the moving company would not return my emails regarding some items that were left on the truck. The movers themselves were polite and did a good job. They were sub-contractors and not actual employees of AB. It was disappointing that they would not contact me back. For this reason I will never use them again. The items were not of extreme value but I would have liked to have got them back. The unresponsiveness of the company is unacceptable.

WARNING! Do not use this company! 1st, review my screenshot of their website and the moving trucks advertised versus the trailers they actually used in our move, resulting in broken property. Highlights of Negative Experience: -Damaged over $7,000 worth of items and offered us $61.80 as a settlement because our contract states their liability for loss or damage is limited to $0.60 per pound -Lost several hundred dollars worth of furniture that was found days later after we repeatedly contacted them.

Beware! Our quote was way off, and we ended up having to pay much more! The move took many more hours over 2 days instead of the quoted 5 hours, plus we had to pay extra trip fees to move! We went through our house room by room, gave accurate square footage, disclosed large items, etc., but AB Moving grossly underestimated the truck space and time to move us. They did not send large enough trucks and knew it upon arrival. They worked slower trying to make it fit in the smaller trucks but couldn't.

STAY AWAY! This company has complete disregard for their customers. If they don't break something, is because you are lucky. We spend OVER $1000 for a less than 1600sf home from Dallas to McKinney and had our baby's furniture damaged, which we spent a lot of money with. It started when they arrived, 3 skinny teenage boys, which is fine as long as they did their job, which they didn't. My wife was at the house while I was at work, but because we had no AC and a 9month baby she had to leave.

Ab Moving Company scammed me out of what was a easy move that should’ve only taken 3 hours They took 4 hours to pack up a single-story home that only had one full bedroom worth of furniture (one bed that I broke down myself, two nightstands, and two dressers). In the living room (one TV stand, one regular sofa, and one love seat). A washer and dryer set and a refrigerator. The rest of the house was already packed up and ready to go before they even got there (see pics).

On March 12, 2026, I hired this company for a move after having used them multiple times in the past. This was, without question, the worst moving experience I have ever had. The final unload was not completed until March 13, 2026, and the entire experience was chaotic, stressful, expensive, and completely unacceptable. What makes this especially frustrating is that this move involved the exact same household items they moved for us a year ago. Last time, they sent a much larger truck and a larger crew.

Initially everything went well... I had seen their name on side of truck in a posting and noticed they had offices in Austin and Dallas. I thought perfect.daughters moving from Austin to Dallas soon so I gave them a call. I explained two bedroom apartment from Austin area to Dallas and they quickly quoted me a price (1,499.00) that I thought was more than fair. The reservation part went well and actually was super easy. Day before move I confirm. They say yes we will be there between 8-10ish.
