​Avoid Allegiance and Seal Pack Movers at all costs. ​Save yourself the massive headache, stress, and financial extortion. We originally hired Allegiance expecting a professional, transparent moving process. Instead, they subcontracted our entire move out to Seal Pack Movers (out of Jersey City, NJ). ​The worst part was the bait-and-switch: after the truck was fully loaded, they arbitrarily jacked up the price of our move from $6,000 to $10,000.

I have almost never been inclined to write a review but I have to share my experience. I recently had to most halfway across the country and this was my first move ever, as stressful as it could get. They said I had to pay a deposit but would only take certified payment, after 4pm on a Friday. Now, this is just terrible communication first of all because all certified payment methods aside for cash app and Venmo and Zelle wouldn’t work after 4pm, but these methods do not let you send more than $1000 at a time to…

I DO NOT recommend using AVL. Everything the salesperson promised was untrue. His estimate was a joke. Once booked, I was assured that I could contact him, he took my deposit on behalf of AVL & never heard from him again. When AVL contacted me was almost less than a week before the move… I was worried because I called and no response. Movers wasted material, overcharged for packing material, took stuff in the truck they weren’t supposed to (just assumed). The movers were contractors not AVL.

Do not deal with that company. It’s a SCAM. They will take the portion of your money a head, then a half of the package price before a pick up then the rest you will pay before a drop off. In my case, I’ve lost $2000 to them. The movers are supposed to pick up my furniture at 8-9 am. When no one showed up- I called and they said :” oh yeah… delay in arrival. They will be between 1-2 pm!” No one showed up… I called them AGAIN.

Complete fraud of an operation. The quote was off by a full $3000 or 150%. The company that showed up (not Allegiance but a random contractor) also added in $400 for a fraudulent “long carry fee” (according to their own clearly stated rules) and another $400 “bulky item fee” for a completely standard size couch. They also lied about the delivery on the phone saying it would be the next day when in reality they were keeping it until they could find a convenient weekend to show up on a few hours notice with yet…

Let’s start with the good, my stuff is at my new house. Now let’s go to the bad 1. All boxes and furniture handled with such anger and little care. Each box that says fragile was thrown around, every (and I cannot stress this enough) EVERY BOX that says this side up is the wrong side down. 2. Movers threw all their garbage into my recycling bin, that I now get to go through and figure out what to do with all their trash on top of my own moving trash. 3.

Total Scam – Stay Away from This Company This was by far the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. I booked with this company under the impression that I was working with professionals. I was quoted a price based on my inventory, and on moving day I actually had way less items than I originally listed. I was still willing to pay the full quoted amount, even though I had less — just to keep things smooth.

Hello. If you are reading this and are going to be moving, please save yourself grief and money - do not use this company. On December 8th 2024 I was contacted by Mia from Allegiance Van Lines. I needed to move from NC to NY. She gave me a very good rate, a deal of around 2000 for the move, and I paid the 899 deposit thinking everything was good. On December 27th 2024 I called to check in on the status because they were due the weekend of the 27th-28th.
