Alpine Moving Company - Fort Collins

Cross posting here since they play games and try to keep better reviews for one location. What a JOKE. Let me start by saying the movers themselves were incredible and efficient. While they were 2.5 hours late, they still did a great job communicating with me once they were on there way (mind you, this was after I had to call to figure out why no one showed up at the scheduled time). Had we not had the issue I'm sharing below, this would be an entirely different review. I digress. Here's the actual issue.

The movers were very nice but unfortunately very inexperienced at only 17 and 19 years old and didn’t know how to pack a moving truck. They left it about half empty and couldn’t fit several items due to poor packing. They offered to unpack it all and repack it to fit everything in, but at almost $200 an hour not worth it. They need to finish the job for free or reimburse about half of the $1500 they charged us.

I would give Alpine Moving Company 0 stars if I could. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had. For weeks, they repeatedly contacted me to get me to sign the estimate and pay the $100 deposit, making it seem like my move was secured. I did everything they asked. Then, the day before my scheduled move, they canceled on me with virtually no time to make other arrangements. Because of their last-minute cancellation, my family and I were left completely stranded.

UPDATE AFTER RESOLUTION: Alpine no-showed on my brother’s move and was unreachable the entire day. I had to step in and help with the move in a pinch. The communication was difficult start to finish. They said a manager would call with an update on expediting the refund, but never called. We followed up via phone/voicemail, email, instagram, and google review, with no reply for weeks.

I had to use my wife's account to make this review as I decided to keep my previous 5-star review posted. Last week was the third time I used Alpine Moving Company. The first two times went fantastic and I would have given them more than 5 stars if I could have. This time around, not so much. I did appreciate all the work Gain, Matt, Eli, Oz, Diego, Ben, Anthony, and Cody did for me and my family. Trying to be objective as possible, here are the pros and cons of my move.

I do NOT recommend this moving company. We hired alpine moving company for an unload of a moving truck only. The boys who unloaded the truck did a fine job and were polite. I say boys, because these guys were quite young and we had some very heavy furniture which proved to be an issue. The two boys were at least 30 minutes late because apparently one of them had just woken up. They did not use dolly’s after we asked them why several times.

BE ADVISED: Be prepared for your privacy to be violated as they now use Meta AI glasses to record you, your belongings, your home, and your neighbors children… they won’t ask for permission and will claim it is going to be used for advertising. Would you feel comfortable with Ace, the manager, who claims he can only view and use the videos, rewatching videos of your home, wife, kids, or obtaining information about your personal belongings?

We used Alpine Movers recently, while the team who was physically moving our household goods were great, the experience overall was not. When we first received our quote, I had pointed out a couple of heavy items, including a small upright piano in the basement, to ensure Alpine's team could handle. These items were included in the moving quote. When the team arrived on moving day they were not aware of these items, and were not able to move the piano due to lack of proper equipment.
