In their own words
Called for a quote and was given a price and told they would save my quote under my name so I could call back and schedule it. Called back to do just that and was told my quote was not in their system. Ok, no biggie. Let’s do the quote again and schedule it. This time I was told completely different information that was over double the price. Either they are extremely disorganized and pricing varies depending on who you talk to or the first person lied and didn’t save my quote because he knew it wasn’t accurate.
Christopher, if we gave you a price, we would have also sent you an email itemizing everything. Did you receive that? We are asking because we had a major overhaul on our estimator program. We apologize that we had a misstep.
They put my bed frame back together incorrectly, making my bed functionally a see-saw. Then they advised I used shims to fix it because "the rug was causing a high spot under the center of the bed" They charged more to disassemble and reassemble the bed, but in the end I had to re-do the work. After re-doing their work, the "high spot" problem went away.
These guys were at patina flats today, super rude and unprofessional moving around the building in the common areas to residents.
Lala, we've only had one crew at Patina Flats recently, and they didn't interact with anyone other than our customer. I'm sorry someone was rude to you, but fortunately for us, it wasn't our crew.
First off my movers were great. They worked fast and got done nicely. Also nice guys. The reason I'm rating the company low is because of their manager or supervisor. I was given by them a mid afternoon window for arrival. I scheduled my day and work around that. The day comes movers finish another job quicker than expected. I'm just done with work and thought I had an extra 2hrs at least before the window start time. I advised no not ready. Said I could call when I was.
UPDATED NOVEMBER 2020: FALLEN FROM GRACE!!! Ever wonder what it feels to fall from grace? You should ask a Little Guy! I moved 2 days ago and, based on my previous experience, I called Little Guy Movers again. I am so very disappointed with their service this time around that I will definitely not use them ever again. They broke one of my beds, dented my dryer and did not put things together correctly. They put boxes in front of my dryer so I didn't see the dent until I organized the area where it was.

My wife and I used Little Guys to load a moving truck to take us from Colorado to North Carolina. First they quoted us a complete move at a ridiculous price, as they would have to take two of their smaller trucks across country and back. In the end we employed Little Guys to load a UPack truck which moved our home across country at one quarter the price (10K instead of 40K total). Their packing was shoddy and resulted in unnecessary breakage. (For example, packing heavy boxes on top of lightweight boxes.

Hired them to unload a bunch of storage boxes from our move, they drug one of my pieces out of the box instead of lifting it out and they ended up putting a 4' scratch into the side of of an armoire I had that I cannot fix now, plus they couldn't figure out how to get it in that room. Also had a desk to go into the same room and they couldn't figure out how to do that either, ended up having to hire another mover and they got the job done. Not happy.
Nick, we're sorry you were not happy with our service. The armoire you mentioned had to be dragged out of place, due to how it was packed on the loading end (by another company). Our crew leader showed you that a screw was on the blanket that they laid it on while loading it up, so it was…
So, after spending time this morning working on an arrangement, Brad decides that our quote is actually $300. Not the $210 I was given by Adam. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO BUSINESS. There was a 20 minute time difference between my email quote and the phone call. And, then ... to have Brad hang up on me when I called? SO UNPROFESSIONAL! You had a guaranteed job for tomorrow. And, you blew it. BIG TIME.
When we were able to speak to your daughter, who the move is for, we realized what building she is moving into. We know from experience that that particular building is difficult to move into, given the elevators and long walks.

From our first contact with Little Guys Movers, we found the entire experience totally stress free. JD assisted us with our arrangements and responded promptly to all of our questions. On the day of the move, the crew (Dan, Brian, and Eric) were great. The team was running late, but JD notified us immediately and Dan kept us updated as to their new arrival time, which they met. The crew could not have been more professional. They were courteous, efficient, and handled our possessions carefully.

Little Guys moved an upright piano for me. First, let me just say that the responsiveness to my request was fantastic! I received a quote within a couple days and when I asked to add a wine cabinet to the quote, he told me it would only cost a couple extra bucks because I was at the minimum already. That's super honest!

This company and these guys - Trent, Mack, Max, and Salofi - were outstanding in every category you could want. All of them were professional, courteous and efficient. I received a prompt response from Trent, the estimator, who explained pricing and addressed all of my concerns. Although I amended my list twice; Trent was great - so patient. Their prices are great too; well below the national guys and some other area firms.
