- I left this review a year ago in 2025 and rated them 5 stars: "Devon, Raphael & Jose were amazing! They were so helpful and moved everything so quick!! They were very careful! Definitely 10/10 service, will be using them and recommending them to everyone I know moving!". I then hired them again a year later and during the move they broke my bookshelf and misplaced my airfryer.
We are sorry your second move did not go as well but this is true, we do not cover particle board or pressed wood items from IKEA because these items are one time assembly. After that, they become flimsy because they are not real wood. No … More
This review is not for this local company. This is meant for American Relocation & Storage Services LLC (a Florida-based broker, DOT #3863673, MC #1412236). They use similar names to legitimate movers, which causes confusion. I’ve posted this here temporarily because many people mistakenly believe they're booking with a local mover only to be scammed by a bait-and-switch broker operating under a nearly identical name. My actual experience was with the broker listed above.

I had a terrible experience with American Relocation — I believe they’re a scam and do not recommend them. The initial rep was friendly and quoted $492.48 for a 2‑bedroom move. After I said I was moving from a 2nd‑floor apartment to a single‑family house, the quote changed to $738.72 (estimated 5 hours). I paid a $100 deposit. Before the movers arrived we moved almost everything ourselves.

We had a very negative experience with this company. One of our movers was incredibly unprofessional. As soon as he arrived I could tell he was in a very bad mood. The man raised his voice on several occasions, with very threatening and angry tone. He raised his voice also to my mom who is very soft spoken and said he was not willing to do move certain furniture, angry. He instructed my mom to wrap the carpet with tape and said so while pointing as though she was working for him.
I would not recommend these movers. During my initial estimate phone call, the man put down that I had a “small” entertainment center based on the measurements I gave him. Then when I had the inventory confirmation phone call the day before …
You absolutely have the wrong company because we do not charge $500 for bulky items. Please show where this happened and we would be more than happy to reconcile things. Our company charges a max of $250 for bulky items and we do have multiple men in the office either.

I hired them to help my parents move 25 miles from the area. I’m located out of state, but was able to setup everything and get it all managed. The truck was on time, helped them get settled into their new home. I felt they were very clear when it came to communication and just provided a good experience all around.

I had the pleasure of having the assistance of Devon and Jonathan yesterday for my move from Maryland to Virginia. These two came on time and got to work immediately and were able to address all of my needs. They went above and beyond and even assisted in getting rid of some of the junk in my home.
