Apartment Movers Plus

My worst moving experience ever. Showed up late and dropped off late. I am including images of some of the damaged furniture, plastic bins, missing nd the condition of many of the boxes. Additionally boxes marked fragile and boxes clearly marked "This side up" were unloaded in every direction imaginable other than "up". If furniture was actually covered for the move it was taken off the truck uncovered.

This review was not written by a child, it was written by the client. We were not offered anything from Apartment Plus. We were offered three hundred dollars to keep our review positive. The arrangement was to deliver two days after moving. This writer did not know where belongings were until we contacted the movers direct. The two weeks were the fault of the broker, but still the length of time after was excessive, not to mention missing property.

Worst moving experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve moved multiple times across country. My kitchen table, which was “wrapped” by the company, not me, was broken upon delivery; and my upholstered bed stained from the tape and wrapping used. The table was damaged so badly the leg fell off the next day and the table had to be thrown out. I have yet to hear from this company or its owner Derrick, which I was told by the movers would reach out ASAP. That was over 30 days ago.

I informed Derrick of the bunk bed that needed to be disassembled and reassembled the day before my move. He told me that was fine. On the day of the move, the guy told me that he would not disassemble the bed unless I paid an additional $150. When I called Derrick, he told me the bunk bed was not the typical bunk bed and wouldn't take less than $100 to take the bed apart. I paid for 3 hours and there were 4 guys. My apartment was only 851 Sq ft but they didn't get everything.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any moving service. I had a more affordable quotes, but ultimately selected Apartment Movers due to the very positive reviews I saw online. I reached out 3 weeks in advance and scheduled my move for 9AM. The day before my move, I reached out to confirm, and heard nothing in return. I finally called the manager in the evening and was told they were very busy, so he hadn’t had time to respond, but we were still on for 9AM - 11AM.

They charged me 3525 cu. Ft. for our move without taking measurements and before they loaded 1-26’ truck. After moving, researched with several moving companies and truck salespersons who informed me a 26’ truck can only hold 2000 cu ft cargo load. Cubic feet should be determined after loading and not by eye balling it. Also, did not give me credit for a prepaid deposit of $ 3,190 paid to the broker. My Bill of Lading, ( unreadable carbon copy) didn’t even add up or make sense. Broke an antique table.

This is not a legitimate company They should not be in business I moved out of state they were quick to take their money they did not wrap my items properly as promised damaged my grandfather clock and Piano screws missing from dinner table bedroom set damaged lab cart / one of my boxes .Mold on my boxes due to sitting in truck somewhere for a month left unattended furniture for one month I waited truck broke down somewhere nobody called me to advise.

If I could post "Zero Stars" I would. Total charged: $4,699.00 of which $1,822.00 was added to the original quote of about $3,000.00. We had to pay for the crew to continue. Job estimated after live cellphone video "walk-thru." Crew of 4 was supposed to pack, load, and unload. Two men (Tony, Sean) arrived at 5pm, 4 hrs late. They didn't expect to pack. Stayed 4.5 hrs. Returned next day, half hr late, stayed 13 hrs.!
