Having low expectations and not expecting too much, Berger Allied certainly disappointed. A lack of communication was a theme throughout. Our delivery was confirmed to be on a particular date and while en route to our new state, we were informed that they actually weren't delivering for several more days. The representative denied these facts, but a trail of emails fully backed up what we were told.

Don't know why I am surprized they screwed us again. Perfect ottoman they damaged - did not bother to wrap it up so got dirty on truck - looks like yellow majic marker, dented top of dryer, broke chairs, lost china, to many missing items to mention = now they say ottoman was dirty, dryer was previouslhy damaged and they can't properly identify china - gave us nothing. Lots of scratches on furniture, I have spent hours with touch up markers. Awful, awful, awful.

Edit: it is now Wednesday, I still have no idea where my stuff is. This company has the worst communication ever. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU ARE UNDER A TIME FRAME. I was scheduled for pickup from 11-1. They finally showed up at 5:30. Now we are in the delivery phase. The driver called Saturday and said he would deliver Sunday between 10-11. He NEVER SHOWED UP AND NEVER CALLED. So here I sit Monday with no way of knowing what is going on.

STAY AWAY.. they damaged my furniture by leaving it in the truck in 100 degree temperatures to melt the finish, then rejected my claim stating it was an act of god. It was their negligence. NOT REPUTABLE BUSINESS PEOPLE. I’m suing them

I’m With The Comment Below..... Sent a crew down and packers was great .... Move crew not their fault was sent with a truck to small... So it pushed our delivery time back a day due to the company having to send another truck to move the rest of our things.... And again those movers was great both teams Now the fun begins .... No communication on when our stuff is to get here .... Fri and Mon was our delivery time .... It’s Tues .... No Delivery....

Moved from Melissa Texas to Mansfield Ohio in November of 2020. We hired North American Van lines in Garland Texas. 6 men loaded our furniture plus the boss. They did a wonderful job. wrapped every piece of furniture with many pads and handled everything with care. I had very heavy pieces and many valuable Asian pieces. They were going to find a driver to bring it to Ohio as it was Thanksgiving time. They called to tell me they hired Edrick Hence from Berger but did not say it was Allied.

If you get Sharon Purifoye as your point of contact for moving - RUN. I have moved 9 times in my life, this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Sharon constantly pushed hard, came off condescending, and made the entire move feel like I was getting scammed the entire way. Not only that, the movers created serious water damage when I notified Sharon she simply said “I don’t have time to deal with you anymore”.

This morning at around 9:45 a.m., our staff was in a meeting, and we noticed the 18-wheeler trying to enter our front entrance gate. At that time a maintenance technician went outside to tell them that this type of truck is NOT allowed on our property. The truck driver totally ignored him and proceeded to drive onto our property. Later in the day at approximately 3:00, we saw them attempting to leave.

I needed to move furniture I had inherited from my parents from a storage facility in Atlanta to one in Northern Virginia. I contacted Allied after googling movers in Atlanta & looking at online reviews. I was contacted right away by Bill, the booking agent and after a phone call to discuss my needs was directed to Robin, the move coordinator. They sent information about cost & time frame. After reviewing several options, we chose this company.

There are (too) many moving & storage companies to pick from. Such a important decision can be overwhelmingly difficult. My wife & I did our due diligence & vetted over a dozen moving companies. The only company coming out on TOP was BERGER ALLIED MOVING & STORAGE. Moving from Illinois to South Carolina is a major move & can be overwhelming physically & emotionally - we wanted/needed the BEST! All our research pointed to one company - BERGER ALLIED MOVING & STORAGE.

I moved from Atlanta to Orlando today. I lived in a two bedroom apartment, I had not packed a single box. They were supposed to pack and load everything today, and deliver on Tuesday. The driver called me 30 minutes before he arrived, which was nice because I was given a delivery window between 8 and 12. I must say, when they first pulled up I thought they were a rag-tag group. First off, they had an old crappy looking truck, 1980 something GMC, which I later learned is a classic.

I know moving experiences are extremely individual, but my husband and I had a very good experience with Berger in our cross-town move. The crew (except the person who was supposed to pack) showed up right on time. The foreman, Heath, and the entire crew were good at communicating with us, so everything ended up on the truck, and it all made it into the right places at the new house. The crew took excellent care of our belongings, and if there was any damage, it must have been negligible.
