ZIP Moving & Storage

I’m not happy at all with the experience here. Poor communication on when movers would be there, often arriving outside of normal working hours and having my family stay up until past 11 PM. Multiple days to load, which was never communicated, creating delays for us and causing issues with me being able to complete work assignments. A missing truck—we were told our items would arrive today and one truck full of items, include my work set up is entirely MIA.

Avoid Zip Moving Company at All Costs – Terrible Experience If you’re in the market for a moving company that wastes your time, disregards efficiency, and offers zero customer service, Zip Moving Company is unfortunately the perfect candidate. My experience with them was nothing short of a nightmare. To start, the movers arrived and spent the first hour with excessive setup tasks. One worker even spent nearly the entire time on the phone.

I have to give praises to Malik and Pablo, our packing and delivering team for working with exceptional care, patience professionalism. Now, our experience with the contractors is a hit and miss. Zach did not provide us with full scope of information. Why before hiring Zip I have not clue about these facts below?: 1) One has to pay a deposit to get a scheduled delivery. Please make sure you have a way to pay the day to schedule. 2) You don’t accept American Express? I lost 2500 sky miles.

I regret using this company. They charge a lot and they are not that good. My stuff is scuffed and scraped. My desk is missing. They called me three times after the service to bug me to leave them a review. They charge way too much for a normal, bad moving company. The “furniture pads” they use are just brown paper, some plastic, and tape. It didn’t work. The corners of my furniture were ripped up through the plastic. I had a table and chairs that they just duct taped together! Just tape! It ruined the chairs.

I REPEAT. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. I REPEAT FOR NOTHING. If I could give this business a 0 star review I would. This is the absolute worst experience that I have ever had with a company in regard to communication. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT AND LOW COURTESY FROM ANY COMPANY. The start of this horrible experience starts out with the first call which to their defense was not good. I have NEVER heard of a company ask a full upfront payment with out a deposit.

I would not recommend this company. We moved from Louisiana from Georgia and our weight was very close to the estimate. The truck was too small and we had to leave some of our items (grill) b/c they could not fit on the truck and strap mattresses and box springs to the outside of the truck. Besides that we were charged for packing of some of our furniture that was disassembled and communicated to be included in the price.

Even though this company was more expensive than other movers I had looked at, I went with them due to their good reviews. Moving with Zip Moving and Storage was a terrible experience. I usually don't write bad reviews, but I gave this company multiple opportunities to right their wrongs and they did not, so I'm writing a review now. I was moving from a house to a small apartment, so I was donating a lot of furniture.

We used zip moving and storage to move across the country. Great reviews on both Google and Yelp, so I was hopeful that the moving process would be smooth. There was poor communication on when the movers would come to pack our stuff. I had to call the day before to confirm time, but they are supposed to call 3-5 days before. The packing process was interesting… the lead mover sat on every piece of furniture we had and spun and leaned back on our chairs to confirm the condition.
