Being retired military I have dealt with many moving companies throughout my career. This is by far the worst moving company I have encountered. Issues we dealt with. Estimate: was not even close charged an additional $4,000. Theft: we are missing several high dollar items from our house hold goods, Damage: almost a 1/3 of our items where either destroyed or damaged.

This company does not care to work with you. They'll probably respond back here to this reviewe with some "factual evidential points" as I see with other poor reviews... which is exactly what I mean. If you want a personalized experience - do NOT go with Best American Movers. You will get little to no useful communication, only dates and timelines to their terms that are all hypothetical ,and only continuously telling you to reference the contract which was never individually reviewed and is completely their game.

We had a terrible experience with Best American Movers. After a phone call to review all of our belongings, Mike quoted us an estimate of around $4,600, at about 100 cubic feet, to move from Virginia to Florida. That was similar to what we paid a national chain a year earlier for the inverse trip. But once the movers got everything in the truck, suddenly the bill was nearly $8,000. They claimed our belongings took up 150 cubic feet. The company insisted we had more belongings than initially estimated.

We had thousands of dollars of damage to an entertainment stand, TV, electric piano from a move of nearly 12-months ago. We have received no response to our dozens of inquiries and filings to receive a resolution (compensation for replacement of said items) even after sending receipts and pictures. We are incredibly disappointed and would not recommend.

Very poor experience. They will force you to pay before the job is complete. Started asking for tip during the job. Out of three, one of guy was super sluggish - a sloth could move faster than him. They ask for additional 3% if you choose to pay by card. I think most the reviews are fake - if you notice majority of reviewers who have highly rated them have only 1-2 reviews total. Avoid them at all cost!
