better business bureau couldn’t do shit about it! Only the moving companies partner mediator agencies could intervene, so pretty much a lost cause. DONT FALL FOR OVERLAND VAN LINES SCAMMERS There is nothing that could not go wrong with our cross county move from east to west. We had arranged for them to store out good for 2 months before delivering. The rep told ua to give an earlier date of delivery as they always delay deliveries so this would ensure we get the stuff on time.
HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY!! LENGTHY DELAYS WITH NON EXISTENT COMMUNICATION AND NO EFFORT TO RESOLVE!! STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY BELONGINGS AFTER 38 DAYS WITH NO SCHEDULED DELIVERY DATE!! I scheduled a full-service move from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Redwood City, California through the broker Moving APT, who contracted with Overland Van Lines to do the move.
I will probably regret posting the review before delivery but 2/3 of the way through this move and I regret being linked to this company. Partially on me but if I am expecting to have another hour to do the finishing touches on getting stuff ready to move, showing up an hour earlier messes things up. Why even confirm a pick up window? The actual movers did a great job getting everything protected and loaded on the truck but the part of handling of the paper work was lacking.
Me and my boyfriend used this company to move on April 26. We received a quote after speaking to Paul (my boyfriend was a returning customer), explaining we had two moves for two 2-bedroom apartments. A third floor walk up and fifth floor elevator apartments going to a third floor walk up. Our quote was estimated for two men for eight hours for the job. When the men arrived on Friday around 11am, they immediately knew they needed more help.
Inconsiderate, completely incompetent. My family and I have been sleeping on the floor for a WEEK now because this company got the move-in date wrong. They keep making excuses FOR THEIR MISTAKE! DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!! Unless you want to make calls and get empty promises! All they care about is saving themselves money and not the wellbeing of their customers who paid them $8000 for their services.
My experience was nothing short of horrible. They do not deserve 1star either. The driver came to my new location and expressed how tired he was and unwilling to do his job. He had 1 additional person on the truck with him that doesn’t seem …

I moved from Maine to Massachusetts and had a very smooth move with this company. They coordinated well and everything went as planned. Izzy and his partner Fausto were very professional, packed expertly, friendly, and patient when we couldn't get into my new place on time. I really appreciated them. Please remember to tip your movers on site, as I forgot to do so in the chaos of the move and did so retroactively because they were so good.
