What a terrible experience I had with Big Dog Movers. They broke a heirloom, stoked blankets, stoled over $2000 of Paul Mitchell hair products, brand new Clinque products, personal wipes, etc. They but boxes anywhere. The boxes were labeled and my dishes and a brand new microwave were put in the unattached garage. It was a mess. I will never hire them again. I asked to file an insurance claim through their insurance they refused to let me do that. They said their guys never steal anything.. so untrue.!

I did not have the best experience with Big Dog Movers. When getting my move scheduled, I spoke with Jesse who gave me a quote and an estimated time of arrival between 12-2pm. Jesse also told me he would call a few days before the move to confirm everything with me again. I had a great conversation with Jesse that I just wanted to get everything booked and ready so I made the $100 deposit for the move scheduled for 12-2pm.

The movers themselves did a great job! Very efficient and nothing was damaged. Service up until move-in day was also great. They created a profile for me while I was getting a quote so when I called back, I didn't have to reexplain my moving logistics. The issue was that I was not called 24 hours in advance of the move to confirm and when I called day of at my moving time, the person said they didn't know I was on the schedule.

Courteous, careful, hard working team. HOWEVER, I was quoted a price based on the info we gave them. When they finished up, they charged another 50% above and beyond the quote. Instead of the quoted 2400 they charged me 3600. I was prepared for 10 or even 20% but 50% is outrageous. We didn’t budget for that kind of huge variation in price. They overcharge because they can. I asked for a reduction, they wouldn’t negotiate. I wouldn’t use them for that reason alone.

Terrible experience. The guys were super nice but didn't tell me until the end of the day loading that they would not be the ones to unload our furnishings and belongings in SC (long distance move from Madison, WI). They contracted with a local mover in Greenville who basically dumped roughly half of our things in our garage, didn't reassemble beds...I arrived to an awful mess that took us weeks to unravel.

Used their services in March. Some furniture and items went missing, others were damaged. Unsurprising, as everything was jammed into the POD. Beware: I was told at the last minute that they needed to be paid via cash. I had to rush to the bank while they waited in their car, and they then charged me $80+ for their time. I was also charged for the time they spent finding parking for their huge truck, which took about 30+ minutes.

Paid $100 deposit back in May for a July 15 move. Mutually agreed upon 8am on July 15 for the move. On the afternoon of July 14, the owner called and said we must reschedule for 10am. Then got a call from Richard (Worker) at 8 am on the 15th saying they would be to my apartment in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later I called Richard back and he said “oh my bad we forgot and needed to drop something else off.” Finally arrived at my apartment at 9:45am.

I hired the company primarily to move some large pieces into a smaller apartment. I was mainly concerned about the couch fitting. I sent them many pictures to review. They also had the option of visiting the site beforehand to make sure they could do the job. They accepted the job and said they could get the couch into the apartment. They failed to accomplish what they were hired to do and kept the whole fee anyway. $725 for 3 workers charging $85/worker/hour.
