Awful! Movers we’re careless with my furniture and items, careless with my time and unprofessional. They arrived unprepared with no carts or tools. They made comments about my concern, I’m “like most women, just worried about my stuff”. Furniture, mattresses and wall hangings were not even wrapped. Items were dropped, dented, scratched and completely broken. There was no inventory sheet or anything to sign, either.
Not a single piece of our furniture escaped damage from this move. First of all they showed without enough supplies to properly protect our furniture. Next they broke glass on expensive art piece. They managed to break a granite top in three pieces for my antique dresser. As time went by I found more damages. Some major and some minor. They damaged my husband ‘heirloom furniture piece and broke off a decorative piece on a very expensive dresser . They broke pieces off my treadmill and the list is endless.
Overall, the experience was average or a bit below. The guys were personable, but not very focused. It was evident they needed to be monitored. They didn't arrive on time (30 minutes late) because they didn't know where to go. I was …
They came to give me an estimate on Monday and the guy that came said he would get my quote to me no later than Wednesday. I hadn't heard from them so called and they assured me a quote was being sent by email and that the "boss" was going to contactor me that day. It's now Thurday 5 pm. I called them to tell them I don't feel they are dependable...if they can't return calls how could they organize a crew for moving? Not a good experience!
I didnt even get to have an experience I had an appointment for 8 to 9 then they rescheduled me to 2 o'clock and then they didn't show and didn't return my calls if you like prompt dependable service I suggest finding another moving company.

My mother is moving and is unable to lift any heavy items. The movers got to her house and were talking badly about her and her house while on the job site. Lacking professionalism and lacking overall empathy. Would NOT recommend.

Paul and Raymond were awesome and knocked out my small apartment move quickly and safely. I'm very happy with their work and glad I made the choice to hire movers vs. manage it myself. I had to take a star off my review because of the overall experience: I reached out to Big Lake Movers after seeing many positive local recommendations online. From the initial quote email, Nate was very communicative and patient with a lot of back-and-forth while I was trying to finalize a move date with lots of competing factors.

Overall, my experience with Big Lake Movers was positive. The crew arrived on time, worked hard, and the pricing was fair. The only hiccup was that it seemed like there was some miscommunication on the front end as the movers weren’t aware that the move was to a 4th floor unit and they didn’t even have the destination address at first. This led them to say some vocalised frustrations during the process, but in the end everything was completed smoothly.
