Big League Movers

I used big league movers to move from ayr to Timmins, needed all my belongings including a pickup truck that needed to be towed. I clearly informed them what was needed to be moved. They told me they'd send a 26' truck, I told them I didn't think that was enough as I had used a 50' trailer to move to this house, they said it was no problem. They showed up late on moving day, no communication why. They failed to use mattress bags as previously discussed and A LOT of stuff didn't fit on the truck.

Originally I was quoted $2400.00 for 4 guys and two trucks and told it would take approx 8 hrs which we were fine with. Everything started out great the guys were amazing but as the day pressed on Jackson advised that it was going to take much longer 12 hrs or so now. He also kept advising me that it would be better if we moved the paintings and mirrors and a bunch of other things ourselves. We hired movers so we wouldn’t have to move anything ourselves but what could I say.

DO NOT USE, beware, We used this company in April. House was under renovations until July. All our belongings were stored in the basement. When we moved in, in July, we found damage to our brand new 65 inch tv, when turned on screen smashed. This company takes no responsibility. It has been a horrific experience. Day of they were great, very nice and professional. However, as we continue unpack, we are finding more and more damages.

I chose this company based on a strong recommendation, but my experience was very different. A scheduling error on their end led to a stressful move, and despite my family moving a large portion ourselves, the bill didn’t reflect the lighter load. The movers were polite but worked slowly, and most concerning, my husband’s brand-new adjustable bed was damaged. When I raised these issues afterward, the response I received felt dismissive and failed to acknowledge responsibility. In response to your reply.

Horrible experience when hired to move 2 twin size beds. Even though they picked the actual move date at like 10 pm the night before the move I got a text saying that date no longer worked for them unless I paid more money. So I agreed to paying more, not much choice at that time, and the pick up time was arranged. Then on the planned move date there was a last minute time change, then less then an hr before they should have been there to pick up I get a text saying they again can't go.

I wasn't happy with our move on February 10, 2026. The movers were courteous and helpful for the most part. However, the final cost ended up 140% of the estimate even though nothing new was added to what to be moved. Some furniture items got twisted and the drawers are now jamming. There were some scratches on some furniture and the wood floor. I don't know what good a written estimate is if it's not honored!

I would never recommend this company at all. Booked our move, got a call 2 days before pickup telling us that they wanted 2k more than what was originally agreed upon. Completely rude. What kind of company would agree to a price that they didn't like in the first place? If i could give them negative stars I would! Do not book with this company!!!!!!!!
