In their own words
I am not sure how these guys got as high a rating as they have. They lost our reservation and then crewed it at 50% after we called them to confirm one day before. Worse, they also badly underestimated out quote (charging is an extra $1500 above quote, which we talked down to only $1000 above). They gouged our freshly refinished wood floors, left oil stains all over our driveway. The crew themselves were hard working and trying, but it seemed like the management just set them up for a fail.
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and sincerely apologize for the lost reservation, the last-minute understaffing, the unexpected charges, and the damage to your refinished floors and driveway.
Everyone was very polite. I originally got a voice message that afternoon from gentleman who was going to do the move, and they stated they would arrive at 4. They ended up being 50 minutes late. In the meantime I moved everything I could from inside the house to the front lawn, to make it faster for them when they eventually showed up. During that time I got a message from another gentleman saying they were waiting on me to contact them so they could send movers. I called him back and let him know the situation.

Movers were hugely unprofessional and rude throughout the move. They jacked up our entertainment center and tried to blame it on the quality of our center, when it has been through three moves prior just fine. Boards were warped and missing pegs. They also didn’t put boxes in the right rooms and seemed to have an issue every time we corrected something. Was recommended by Little Guys, which says something about them as well. Will not use this company again.
Since 2000, I have moved between states 3 times and between cities 10 times. I have never used a TV or other type of box to move my TVs. In all of those moves the TVs survived without incident. This time, I hired Billy Goat to move me from one address to another in FC, about 5 miles away total. During the estimate process, I asked about it and was told I did not need to provide one because the movers would wrap it in blankets and secure it from bouncing around in the truck.
We are truly sorry you had an unpleasant moving experience with us, but as was discussed when we visited with you after the move we are unable to take responsibility for a used TV with no indication of physical damage.
Billy goat was here to move some people into the Legacy apartments. They parked their trucks where the fire department needs to park when they come which they come almost every day for a resident. I kindly asked him if they would move their trucks down to the other end of the building, which is no far from the entrance of where then where they were parked they got very ugly and they refused to move.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention; I’m very sorry trucks blocked the fire lane and that the movers responded rudely. This is a serious safety concern, especially for our senior residents, and we will address it immediately with Billy Goat Movers and review contractor parking rules.
These guys are HORRIBLE!! They literally STOLE boxes that were at my door from USPS!! I would think you could get different results from the individuals assigned to your move but the two we got flat out STOLE from us!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM. Trying to call and speak with the owners got us nowhere. They never returned the call. Boxes that were in the trailer they were unloading also disappeared!! STAY AWAY!!!
This company was hired to move something from my home. In the short time they were here, the man who looked like a Lord of the Rings troll extra made misogynistic jokes to his own team. It’s 2025. If you can’t figure out how to behave properly toward women, you don’t get hired by women.
Julie, I’m really sorry you experienced that—there’s no excuse for misogynistic jokes or disrespectful behavior in your home. That is not the standard we expect at Billy Goat Moving Company, and I take this seriously.
They were moving a neighbor in and had the whole street blocked in when we pulled up to try to figure out what to do, they started throwing their hands up like we were the issue. Very rude men
My apologies Felicia, not the look that we are going for. Our crews are usually pretty darn professional. We take our business very serious. We do our very best not to block streets however it's been very difficult due to the 2-3 foot snow re just received.

These guys are great! Easy to work with, a good value, and so respectful. The total price was extremely close to the quote price. The guys are friendly and so efficient! Nothing was damaged or lost. They put protections on the doorways and stairwells so nothing was damaged. They also made sure I was happy with the furniture placement, set up the beds, etc... I used them to move from my apt, to my 1st home, and now my 2nd. Would highly recommend!

Twice in a little over a one year period I had a need for a moving company. First time was just me moving from a 2 bedroom, and the second time on 1/22/25 I needed to move my Mom into a home with me. The only times in my life I have used a moving service were both handled by Billy Goat moving company. I was happy with the service last year, and again this year I found myself reaching out to Billy goat, getting an immediate response, a rough quote, then an in-home visit to take a better inventory to build a better…

I just used Billy Goat Moving to move my possessions into a local storage unit. These guys were AMAZING. They were professional, cheerful, honest, and efficient. I highly recommend them. I had previously reserved a 100 sqft storage unit at a local storage facility. However, with the amount of items I was wanting to store I was starting to feel doubtful that it could all fit, so I asked the movers their opinion on what I should do.
I needed help moving my 6-foot baby grand piano downstairs and around a tight corner. When I called, Kyle answered the phone and offered to come to my house for a free walkthrough and measurement that day! He was honest about the potential for not making it around the corner and helped to troubleshoot. Three days later, Kyle, Luke, Marcus, and Joey showed up and got it done.
