In their own words
Update: it’s been 8 months and they still have not paid my insurance claim (submitted on time with pictures). They emailed me and said they would take care of it, but they haven’t and are now ignoring my emails. I did not have a good experience with Blue Ox. They came out and gave me an estimate. Afterwards I moved 2 rooms of furniture and fragile items myself. Despite this, there final price was $1,000 higher. I purchased the insurance. There was damage to my property.
I was given a quote that was higher than most companies but decided to go with Blue Ox because the person that came to my house to give me my estimate seemed to be honest and it appeared that the company was reliable and I felt like they would be careful with my belongings. Well.... move day came and the cost ending up being almost double then what I was quoted and considering we moved over 100 boxes ourselves I was shocked. Blue Ox ended up moving half of what I had them give me the estimate on.
Edited 6/11/2024 In summary, good moving crew but unethical and deceptive business practices after the fact. While we were happy with the crew that moved us, we have had difficulty dealing with Blue Ox on an item that was damaged during the move. Despite having paid for additional coverage that should have replaced the item subject to a deductible, Blue Ox has refused to honor the language in their contract to reimburse us for the item.

My neighbors used this company. They guys moving blocked our drive way for hours. Had to continually go out and tell them to move the truck so we could leave our own house. There was a perfect place for them (the movers) to have their truck in front of the house they were moving but instead blocked our driveway for an entire morning. Super inconvenient for neighbors and they lack any common sense of decorum and professionalism to have to be told not to block other persons driveway.

We moved from Katy to Conroe. We used another mover taking our house stuff from Katy home to our storage in Fulshear. They were horrible. I won't put their name here, but in H Town, movers need to be good. I read many good reviews of Blue Ox online and decided to try them. They were AMAZING. These guys are pros. Patrick and his team did an awesome job. Best moving experience I’ve ever had and the care for our items was top notch. Usually, it feels like movers are either rushing and things get broken or put in the wrong rooms or alternatively, they are slow and running up the clock. This experience was the perfect balance of care for our items with our preferred placement while still being timely and moving at a good pace.
