Would not recommend this company. Move was booked for 2 pm on a Friday afternoon. The movers did arrive on time - with four men and two trucks. Simple things like reattaching mirror onto dresser, asking me where I wanted dining room table located, etc. were not done. Attachments to lamps have gone missing. The elder Bob complained about everything (move was going to take too long on a Friday afternoon, walk to back of house was too long, too many boxes, etc.).
The team was friendly, professional, and handled the large items carefully. However, I was very disappointed with the lack of transparency around billing and how this situation was ultimately handled. Based on the company’s website FAQs, I was under the impression that local moves are billed strictly by the hour, with no stated minimum.

I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. These guys were wreckless, rude, careless, not to mention late. My home and belongings were damaged, and the comments the mover Scott made toward me while in my own home were downright ignorant. I believe the 5 star reviews posted on google are either solicited by Bob, or created by Bob himself. Look at Yelp instead, where Bob gets 2 stars consistently - even that is far more than they deserve. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Bob appears to be a nice fellow, but I think it is time to retire, unfortunately. I felt some of the questions he asked me didn't feel like moving questions. Some things I didn't even want to answer as combat veteran that was involved in war. We played phone tag for a week. Basically, because he kept either not actually scheduling me for my date or forgetting.
Many issues with this company. Showed up to move a 1bedroom apartment with 2 vehicles and more movers than agreed upon. Damaged several items. Increased the final price by 50% for moving a 1br apartment 30min drive away after the move was done. When they were made aware of the damages they had caused, their optionsgiven to me were to return to where I moved from with the item for them to repair or do it myself. Highly recommend not using this fly by night operations service.
Damaged multiple pieces my furniture. Caused over 4k dollars worth of damage. Called to have the issue resolved and he hung up in my ear. Very unprofessional. And very aggressive when I would not let him go into my home alone.

Hi, I found Bob the Mover's Company when researching a few listing within the Halifax area for a quality moving company at a reasonable price to move my mothers 1 bedroom apartment. I spoke to Bob and he was always very friendly and courteous on our calls and offered moving tips throughout the move whenever we spoke.

Bob the Mover is a great company to use whether moving something small or big, residential or commercial. I have used their services 3 times including a commercial move, residential move and a small move of table and filing cabinet. Each move was different in terms of number of crew, and number of trucks, but each time the crew was courteous, respectful, friendly and jovial.
I’ve used these guys several times and so has my family and they are without a doubt the best moving company I have ever used. They are extremely quick, professional, knowledgeable, careful, friendly, and efficient. The last time I used them was to move myself and my girlfriend into a large 2 bedroom apartment. The efficiency with which they were able to move both of us from 2 separate locations into this one apartment was incredible.
