This company is absolutely criminal. They lost an entire truckload of my stuff (everything I owned), and made zero effort to help either compensate for these lost items or track them down. One item was an expensive road bike, which they secretly filed a Police investigation for, claiming it was "stolen," without telling me any of this... Very sketchy company. Please do yourself a favour and do not use them for your move.

Over a year ago, I used Burly Boyz Moving, and it was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. Just moments ago, I received an email asking me to refer them, which brought all those feelings back and compelled me to write this second review. I have unsubscribed myself from your emails. I still have my original review saved, but after posting the original review in July 2024, I received a call asking me to take it down because of how critical and honest it was.

Burly Boyz Moving company was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, they were not forthcoming with details and gave vague answers about costs and services. When the final bill came, it was far higher than expected and wildly overpriced for the value provided. The service itself was sloppy and unprofessional, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that the pricing practices were dishonest and deliberately misleading. What should have been a straightforward move felt more like dealing with a scam.

Very disappointing! My parents left a deposit and had a contract for their move. Movers did not show up at scheduled time. When we checked in with their office we were told the move had to be rescheduled to Monday (3 days later) as their driver was sick. My parents had sold our family house and were moving to a condo. They did not have possession of the house til Monday. They had an elevator booked for their move in.

This was, without question, one of the most stressful and physically punishing experiences we've ever gone through. While the individual workers themselves were polite and worked hard (we even bought them pizza when they returned for the second trip), the way this company operates behind the scenes is an absolute mess. We were promised four movers — only three showed up. No call, no heads-up, just one man short and expected to roll with it.

Overall poor experience. Broken furniture on arrival. No care or concern during moving and packing. Weight and size estimates were off by 50%. They offered to pick up the remaining items 2 weeks later for nearly the same cost as the original move. Strongly do not recommend. Avoid booking with these people.

Avoid at all costs. Terrible communication and customer service. They will ghost and ignore you when you have questions and concerns and then try and add charges to your invoice and charge your credit card without permission months after the service was provided and payed for. Would NOT use.
