I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. After purchasing our furniture from Urban, this company was responsible for the delivery and installation. I truly wish Urban had chosen a different delivery partner. On the first scheduled delivery day, we were told the team would arrive between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. We were instructed to completely clear the room so the installation could be completed.
I chose AMJ Campbell for a 6 Km move of a 2 bedroom suite to another, smaller suite - a significant downsize - influenced by a friend's very positive experience with the company. I am nearly 80, and have COPD and arthritis, so I move slowly and with considerable pain, and therefore added packing and unpacking to the move. The company sent me a pre-move email specifying time windows for both the packing day and the following moving day.
This company was recommended by my realtor. I discussed their rates over the phone prior to having them come to my home for an estimate. They were a bit on the pricier side but they are a reputable company and a member of the relevant associations and I was okay with the high end of average rates. I had an in home evaluation and in person was discussed similar to what I had discussed over the phone, 3 movers, 1 truck, and a 6 hour minimum.

A moving company’s true quality is not measured by how things go when everything is easy, but by how they respond when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, AMJ failed that test. Extremely disappointing experience — poor planning, damaged furniture, and lack of accountability I would strongly caution anyone considering AMJ for a move involving valuable or delicate items. Our experience with AMJ was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
My goods ended up at their warehouse from SA. I did not choose them. They waited 2 years before informing me, as I had no idea, and slapped me with an enormous bill. Constantly threatening me they would destroy my goods I finally managed to settle the full amount and then arranged for them to redirect my goods to the US. Again I paid them in excess of $2700!!! They continued to threaten to destroy my goods wanting MORE money.
Ordered new bedroom set through Article. Paid for “white glove” delivery and assembly service. Crew arrived and refused to assemble or move a dresser to our second floor bedroom. Stated they required a 4 person crew and they would take the …
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. The company showed zero accountability for being 45 minutes late and offered no explanation whatsoever. This is a completely unacceptable and unprofessional delivery operation.

We’ve used AMJ Moving twice now, and once again they did an excellent job. This time, Adam and Noah (father and son) handled our move. They were professional, hardworking, courteous, and took great care with our belongings throughout the entire process. They completed all the unloading and furniture assembly efficiently, paid attention to every detail, and made sure everything was set up properly. Before they left, they even cleaned up and took all the packing debris with them, which we really appreciated.

The boys went the extra mile on the delivery helping us get it inside the door and up a couple steps. That wasn’t included but they just gave us a hand and that’s why I wanted to leave a review. They kept us in the loop for when it would arrive as well. Pretty bang on.
