I requested a quote from Trans Canada Movers. A very polite and professional estimator came to the house, assessed everything, and seemed engaged. I followed up multiple times over the following weeks. A full month later they finally sent a quote for $250,000 USD. I recently moved from Toronto to Los Angeles, and used trans Canada, and quite disappointed with their services. The delivery coordinator Jake was helpful to get me a quote and get a pickup time setup, however when it came to the pickup date, they sent ONE person (the driver) to pack, and load the truck in which took forever. I did pay extra to have the driver to pack expensive items such as tv and other appliances, but had to help him to load the damn truck.
I never leave reviews, but after paying nearly $8,000 for a “streamlined” cross-border move, I got poor coordination, zero communication, and a manager, who chewed me up and spoke to me condescendingly. From the beginning, there were serious communication failures. On the day of my scheduled full pack move, the crew arrived stating they did not know it was a full pack job. I had been coordinating for over a month with Tammy about the details.

TransCan had excellent customer service at the points where they were taking my money and absolutely zero any other time. I will use literally anyone else for the next move. We are very satisfied with the service provided by Trans Canada Movers. Our move was far from simple: we were relocating from Montreal to British Columbia, to a more remote area, and our move-in date did not match our delivery date. We therefore needed temporary storage, which the company handled perfectly. From start to finish, everyone we dealt with was professional, courteous, and efficient.
Highly recommended this company! Planning and communication were superb. Ask for Jake! The movers on both ends were polite and hard-working. The only negative, and it really couldn’t be helped with the type of international move we were doing, was that the goods had to go onto the moving truck in California, then switch trucks in BC and then arrive in Manitoba. The extra “touches” increased the risk of breakage, BUT we only found two broken plates out of over 1500 yd.³ of goods, so I say not too shabby :)
