Burly Boyz Moving & Storage

**AVOID AT ALL COSTS** How this company is still in business is a complete mystery. They lost our items in storage (they told us this after our set delivery date where we had paid movers arranged for; we had to call them to find this out after we waited for an hour), they arrived over 3 hours late for a partial delivery (again with no updates from them), damaged our items with no reimbursement, are basically impossible to get ahold of, and on top of everything are currently HOLDING OUR BELONGINGS RANSOM AND ARE…

This entire move was a disaster from the start....I will try to make a long story short. My 75 old mother chose these guys as they were recommended by a realtor....no longer! After packing her up and putting her stuff in storage, she rec'd her first invoice - she paid it. A day later she receives a very similar invoice, off by a few cents and asked to pay it. She almost did! Apparently it was "sent in error". A week later, they were scheduled to move her into her new place (1/2 block away....same complex).

Our experience with burly boyz has been absolutely atrocious. The company has no customer service and now we’ve expressed we have issues they’ve stopped returning our calls and just sending rude unhelpful emails even though we’ve expressed we would like to be talked to on the phone. Our quote from Connor was grossly underestimated.

I wish I had read these reviews before booking Burly Boyz to do our move. I don’t like to be negative but I do want to give a heads up to anyone looking for moving companies. Management doesn’t staff enough people to do the moves and they double book their staff, which leads to the move taking double the amount of time and movers arriving much much later than the time slot booked.

My experience with Burly Boyz was atrocious. I would not recommend. We were quoted just shy of $2000 to move a 2 bedroom apartment. We provided a video walk through to Burly Boyz so they would have a good understanding of the volume and weight of what needed to be moved. A few minutes before the crew was scheduled to arrive, the lead hand called to tell me they were going to be 2 hours late. This would not work, as we had an elevator booked at the departure end. They ended up arriving an hour late.

I don’t normally give negative reviews but if I could I would. Our move has been hell. The guys who moved me out of my place and into storage was great for the most part. However, they charge storage by the month and we started halfway through. They don’t prorate anything. Okay fine. Next they were supposed to move me from storage into my new place. Notified me it would be sent in two lots as the bigger truck wasn’t available. Again okay no big deal. They showed up with all the boxes and no furniture.

Absolutely do not use this company, they were 8 hours late with no contact about being late untill 4 hours past when they were supposed to start, were yelling in the hallways, disrespected my wife and was extremely disorganized and unprofessional. They then proceeded to get in a fist fight and swearing as well as saying racial slurs to each other at 1am with my wife there with our newborn which made her feel extremely unsafe. Asked my father inlaw to go and get the coffee.

David C, AJ, Jamie, Nihal, and Wesal were the absolute BEST movers. They were exceptionally polite and diligent in their loading and unloading. I cannot say enough great things about the actually packers/workers. Where ever these gentlemen show up, you will be taken well care of. I would love to give 10 stars to these movers…they were incredible. However I need to warn everyone of the shady business that exists at the office level.
