The service received while booking was excellent. Easy, reasonable. Great customer service. The move itself. Terrible. The guys were nice enough. I hired for three movers, as I lived in a condo and needed one to stay downstairs with the truck at all times. On the day of the move two showed up, surprised and shocked I asked for three. From that moment on, it was not good. They didn’t wrap stuff so you can imagine things did not end up in their place, as they were. Scratches, marks and broken items.

UPDATE: I originally gave Eager Beaver 5 stars in 2020. The service was excellent. 2 people moved everything in a timely manner without issue. In 2022, I used them for another move of similar size and was disappointed with my second experience. They arrived an hour late and did not communicate that they were running late.

Well… this was a tough call overall. I picked eager beaver because of the outstanding reviews and online recommendations. I’m leaving 2 stars because they own their trucks and have actual employees, and the movers themselves were delights, on top of being efficient. I’m sure many people have great experiences and that’s good. Where I had an issue was that in a fluke, there was an issue with the truck that resulted in my tv getting broken beyond repair.
I used this moving company on the 2nd Dec 2021 to move locally. I have used them before and their services used to be great back then. With my recent move, the following things went missing : - ikea side lamp - it was my wife's favorite not overly expensive. - curtain rods - not expensive - block heater - not expensive . With hopes of getting the items back reported the missing items and they said they will look. Now they don't reply to my text any longer .
I got moving and storage with this company while waiting for possession of my new home. I packed everything myself and the 3 individuals who came to move my stuff from the original place were experienced and fast. Getting things out of storage was another story moving into my new place. The crew was inexperienced and an expensive item was completely broken. I made a complaint to which my claim was denied and I accept that. I didn't get a phone call or even acknowledgement of my concerns.

Called today to try and book a move, i had some questions, before i booked, and the guy i spoke with was rude, answered my questions as if i were stupid or something.. so i hung up on him and booked with a different company.

Please read my post. I would like to be very clear with my review. This is how my experience was and at no time do I represent anyone else. The start of my experience was going well until we had a little mishap. The driver ask me if it was ok to drive on our newly poured drive. We both agreed that it should not be a problem. Unfortunately the weight of the truck caused a long crack. It happens. I have reached out to see what the coverage I have paid for can do to help resolve my problem.

And I thought I was hiring professional movers when they showed up they showed up with a guy who looked like he just came out of a garbage dumpster I'm clearly didn't have a bath for a while I felt very uncomfortable I'm quite certain that this person was homeless and he had a very bad odor coming from him it felt like he was casing my house it's not very bad experience I felt bad so I gave him a tip although due respect that's not my problem of this person's situation if I hire a company to come and move me I…

From initial inquiries, to booking, to the actual move, the whole procedure was smooth and handled professionally. Riley was my initial contact as I researched how best to move an awkward power reclining loveseat from my mom's place to my own. All questions were answered with ample detail - I knew that I'd found the right people for the job. When the right timeframe arrived, I called and talked to Riley again. He was able to find a time that worked for me and walked me through the process.

Eager Beaver was suggested to me by my brother, who had used them for one move, and then a different company for a different move - which he ended up regretting. From the get-go, Eager Beaver was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. They were quite accommodating when we had to reschedule a move. They showed up on time, well-prepared, and ready to go despite the temperature being -25 C. Chase and his team was a pleasure to deal with.

Their team was prompt, professional, and highly organized, making what could have been a stressful day completely seamless.
