Two Small Men with Big Hearts Moving

This company was very unprofessional, including. not on time. smoking while working. smelling like marijuana. playing loud music while they’re in and out of the house, making off colour comments about what I was taking in the truck. when I got to my destination and had a different company unpacking. There were numerous things that were broken or ruined, including a metal trunk. The whole corner was crushed, and I cannot even open it to see what the damage is inside.

MAKE SURE TO INVENTORY YOUR GOODS!!! And have someone carefully monitor what actually goes on and off the truck. Hired this company for our recent long haul move because of 3 previous great experiences. This time was a bust. They were so ill-prepared at the move-out end that we ended up doing a good part of the move labour ourselves. Not why we paid “professional movers”. In addition to that, the crew arrived super late, so most of the move-out happened in the dark onto a truck with no lighting to speak of.

In July my daughter had this company move her from a condo in Edmonton to her new house a few blocks away and had no issues. However in August I had another crew move my belongings from a condo in Edmonton to my daughter's new house and there were damages to walls, stairway and ceiling. There was also a light fixture in the bedroom that was damaged when bed was being assembled which was not noticed until the crew left.

Hired this company to move a fridge for me, I specifically asked them for white glove delivery (dolly the fridge into place, remove garbage and basically ready to plug in for my customer). The fridge was delivered with all the wrapping on it and left on the skid. It was also damaged, but I can't confirm that was them or not, which is fine I don't like to pass blame, it could have got damaged in transit from ON to AB.

This was the worst experience of my life. While moving out the lead man drank beer and smoked a joint in front of us and my neighbours. He was very hyper and excitable, which made me uneasy. I had a big piece of art that I did not want them moving as it’s so fragile. That same man decided to take it down from the wall and pack it without telling me. After they drove away, I realized they had taken it and I called the driver with concerns.

During my move the movers were careless with my things and tried to shove my couch through a narrow opening in my kitchen, causing damage to my wall. The older of the two employees just shrugged it off, saying they were insured as if that makes it fine to be reckless with a customer's property. He said I could call their after care line to arrange for repair to the wall.

We recently had a very disappointing experience with this moving company. Our original moving date was scheduled for Monday, May 26. However due to a change in possession date, we had to move on Tuesday, May 27. When we informed the company, they assured us they could still move our belongings on the original date (May26) and HOLD them overnight-for a cost of around $750 including the holding fee/storage fee.

Three movers arrived on time and were friendly, professional, and respectful of our home. They used floor mats to protect the floors and wrapped our furniture before moving it, which we appreciated. However, we were unexpectedly charged an additional $120 for the wrap and pads, plus $3 for tape, despite confirming during the estimate call that wrapping was included. I double-checked the emailed estimate, and there was no mention of these extra charges. Unfortunately, a major issue occurred during the move.
