My husband and I did separate moves. We both experienced the "bait and switch" tactics of this company. We were quoted one price before loading, and a MUCH higher price when it was time to unload. Told us the weight ended up higher than quoted. Well, they should know how to quote within a reasonable variance. The crew who loaded me in Illinois was unprofessional and helped themselves to some of my personal property that was to be left for someone else.
TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION I should have known something was going to be wrong when I was charged for TV moving boxes ($180 total) and no TV boxes were used in our move. When we settled in our new home and mounting TV's, we discovered that one of our TV screens were completely shattered and unusable. I contacted them about filing a claim and was sent a claim form to fill out and mail. I did not hear anything back from them, so I sent them an email. All I got back was that "we never received it" go figure....
I can’t express how much I hate this company. My experience has been horrible. Used the services on 7/17 the two movers who were in my home broke my tv that was on the wall which wasn’t even to be touched by them. I called and spoke with Jennifer for a claim on 7/19 as as we currently stand no resolution. I’ve called numerous times and each phone call taken by Jennifer who states she’s the only person I can speak with there is no above her she states shes going to call me back.
Salesperson and pickup crew were excellent. Dropoff was a complete disaster. I have contacted them several times and was promised calls back but company went silent. Staff they had assisting moving into the new house were completely inadequate and not really qualified. Most items were in wrong locations, not unwrapped, and nothing re-assembled. They also took way longer than expected. Customer service never followed even after several times reaching out.
Unfortunately, while the moving team was terrific, the same cannot be said of the owner and his administrative coordinator. They are not responsive, and the truck leaked oil all over the street and they have not responded as to a resolution to repair. This should have been tended to IMMEDIATELY. Disgraceful.

Callaghan's has completed two separate projects for us: a massive total house move and a smaller tractor relocation. Both projects were handled with great care and professionalism. For the larger move, the movers were even able to recommend great locations for our furniture, as the new layout was so different than the old one, and they could more immediately see where things may function best since they place furniture so regularly.
