In their own words
While I did not hire Capital Movers I will not comment on their efficiency, price or reliability. However as a neighbour that lives two doors down from a move, I do have a comment. A 74' truck was pulled up in front of my house and blocked my driveway, plus the driveways of three others that share driveways. I was asked if I wanted to move my car. When I preferred not to do so, I was told that they would block my driveway anyway. I was then told that I wasn't a very considerate neighbour by the mover.
Dear Ms. Durkee: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry that you feel our team was not polite or respectful when you spoke with them. We understand that you have already spoken with our operations department … More
We move to Kingston in May and have all our stuff at a storage in Gananoque. The moving cost from Mississuaga to the storage is less than $1500 (but we rounded it off to give tip to the driver and one assistant). Now we want to move our stuff from the storage to the house we bought. We called Capital Movers and schedule for a move. Today their "consultant" called us and gave us the quote of $500/ hour with 12 hours work needed that will amoun to $6000!
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about the no-cost, no-obligation estimate you received from us. We're sorry for any trouble you may have experienced. … More
Was given a quote for a 1 bedroom apartment for $1,333 to be taken to glenville storage off 38..... The quote estimated 6 hour labour without boxing or wrapping ... excuse me ? This is just outrageous. If your a professional moving company and have been for years how were you able to please your customers? Unless you just felt the job wasnt worth your time .. which is highly likely and very poor customer service. The dispatch lady on the phone was fantastic and was the only reason I went with the estimate booking.

In their own words
Delighted with the service - definite customer-focus from Laura and Jon setting up estimate and the move itself. Chris and Max speedy hard workers who looked to Jason for direction to ensure my satisfaction, and direction from Jason included his own careful attention to my wishes. All hard and fast workers, courteous and helpful - a move that couldn’t have gone better - and was under budget. Definitely recommend each and all of them.
Dear Jo - thank you so much for your kind words and the time taken to share your experience! We're grateful for the trust you placed in us on your recent move and just so very pleased that we were able to deliver a great move! We're awfully … More
Laura and the team were incredibly helpful for a last minute move with very heavy, awkward equipment. Arrived on time, got everything done quickly and with a smile! Great communication and pre planning to ensure all went ahead without issues. Highly recommend!
We're so happy it went so smoothly! We can't wait to visit the new location! :) Thanks so much for trusting your move to Capital.
Move went very smoothly. The guys worked diligently the entire day and evening without much of a break. There was no damage to either house or furniture. It’s heavy, hard work, especially when they are carrying furniture up and down stairs. I would suggest clients be generous and tip them at the end of the move. My only concern was that the quote was way off the final number. We expected it to be higher due to some additions and a bedroom the consultant missed, but not as significant as it was.
Dear Penny - thank you for trusting your recent move to Capital and for sharing your kind and candid feedback. We appreciate your balanced perspective and your recognition of the movers' expertise and hard work (we agree, this is not an … More
We have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Capital Movers. They were on time, efficient, and pleasant to work with. They took very good care to wrap the furniture for transport and to cover the floor. They came out to quote quickly and were able to schedule our move in the short window of time that we had. Everything felt so easy and really helped to alleviate extra stress. It was a great experience, definitely recommend.
Dear Jacqueline - your comments just made our day! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate your choice of Capital for your recent relocation. Your feedback will be shared with all who worked on your move. All the best!
