****BEWARE AND WARNING***** Carey moving and Allied associates are SNAKES!!! They took advantage of our 83 year old mother who was moving from SC to FL. We were charged a "holding fee" to hold her items on the truck in excess of $700. When the Allied drivers called us, we were told the reason her items were being held is because they were waiting on the truck to be loaded with someone else's belongings before they could head down to FL.
Melissa, we're trying to determine who the actual customer is. None of these circumstances seem recent so can you let me know the customer's name or reach out to me directly? I'm Chris at [phone removed] x405. Hope to hear from you soon.
I do not know where to even begin as such much went wrong with my move and my family and I had such an awful experience. I will start with saying as someone who spent 12 years in the military who PCS'd and has extended TDY's all over the world, this was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. It all started from the very beginning when the original driver who was supposed to pick up my goods was a no show and they had to call a "replacement team" last minute the morning of.
Carey Movers are NOT recommended. Their movers were unprofessional (went in our refrigerator without permission to store their drink), unprepared (arrived with no tools), and untrained (did not cover all furniture)! We’re still in the …

My wife and I have completed over a dozen moves in our livetimes, including one with AVL's affiliate out of Charleston (Coleman Moving). Every one of those were professionally, carefully, and appropriately conducted. Sure, there were occasional nicks, dings, etc., but we never even filed a claim. That all changed when we hired Carey/Allied to move us from Charlotte to Atlanta. The Carey Moving - Allied experience was horrible! Several pieces of furniture were badly damaged/destroyed. Artwork was damaged.

Allied agent Tammy came to my house for a survey. She spent 1min and 45 secs in total, took 4 photos and said she would have a quote by the end of the day. No communication from her still 9 days later. Carey did not seem to care after telling them about her. so they get one star too.

These guys moved me, and it was a disaster. The coordinator had no idea what was going on when I called her. They showed up to deliver with no advanced notice and was out of town. They charged me an extra $1,000. They took apart things …
