College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Dover

I woud give them zero stars if I could. Do not use this company if you care about your property. They damaged multiple pieces of furniture including a dresser, a marble table, multiple wooden end tables and chairs, an upholstered chair, and a previously repaired treadmill. They also tracked mud all throughout our house and on our new carpets.

I saw all the great reviews and thought it would be a good idea to hire this company. I found out only after I started unpacking that many of my items were missing. When I complained to the office, they gave me a song a dance about how the team claims they didn't take the items and that when I signed the completion papers that I agreed the items were taken from the original desitination to my new address. There is no accountability here. I tipped these people, too.

I cannot emphasize this enough. We had the WORST experience with this company. The absolute worst. We’ve used them many times before but will never use them again. From the start they greeted us with attitude. They Didn’t want to be there. Made us disassemble furniture. Scratched and damaged our fridge (and didn’t wrap it). They brought the wrong size truck and couldn’t fit everything. Complained the entire time and said they don’t move IKEA furniture because it’s too cheap.

The worst move ever I had with them. My furniture is expensive and heavy. When the representative came for an in-house estimate, I specifically told her that my furniture is heavy and expensive and I want it to be taken care of. She convinced me that they will take great care of it. When I was making the deposit, she told me that five movers will come to move my stuff as I had a storage too that was to be moved. On the day of the move, 3 movers came.

I barely care to write reviews but the experience of having these guys move my stuff has been a torture. I shall begin ( without mentioning names ) with a "evaluation" phase which was done by a human being coming into my apartment and looking at each room , each closet , each shelve and filling up his entire sheet of paper with the details of the inventory. Gave me an estimate of X dollars which i agreed to and confirmed the appointment for the move.

Manager is rule and unprofessional. I called many times to discuss about the move. I was under impression that the move was booked for the day but it turned out there are a process (up front deposit) which the employees didn’t letting me know. So I canceled all my storages and expected the move on that day as discussed. The estimate was done and the guy was helpful and professional. The manager was the opposite. He was rule and extremely unprofessional!

asked me to use my restroom on a 1 hour 45 minute job (which wouldn't be the worst, but I've never once in my life had other movers, electrician, hvac or yard workers ever ask me to use my bathroom....you could have stopped at wawa beforehand being as though it was less than 2 hours). RUSHED out despite me paying for the 2 hour minimum.

Tried calling two days ago to use someone local and couldn't get through a simple call with them. They are not transparent in their pricing. They put me on hold to see if they were going to need a separate person just to take a bed from the downstairs to the second floor and a different bed from the second to the third floor as they usually use a separate person for that? They came back and said no, but I didn't even see why that was an issue.
