Delaware Moving and Storage

UPDTATE: Drew, you run a failing and fraudulent company, your awards are probably fake, and your transportation services are of low quality. My experience with Delaware Moving demonstrates inadequate processes, the staff who do not communicate past the sales engagement, and failed fundamentals of packing and inventory control. The result is damaged and lost or stolen property, confusion, and waste of time. I provided evidence that DE Movers never delivered some items to Wheaton's consolidation point.

Delaware Moving & Storage Inc., who is an agent of Wheaton World Wide Moving, hire employees who are the most unprofessional, disrespectful, unprincipled, combative, rude, careless, chauvinistic, and did I say unprofessional people on the face of the earth. (1) they arrived 30-45 minutes late (2)When I returned, I immediately notice that two out of the three packers were no longer wearing a covering over their faces (Wayne and the other guy who was not Jeremy).

I was not satisfied with my moving experience with Delaware moving and storage company. They did not live up to recommendations received. Date of move was August 18, 2021. I had a two bedroom apartment and no appliances to be moved. The movers did not arrive until I alerted the office. The three workers did not work in tandem while one was wrapping and packing furniture one was standing around watching and on his cell phone Talking and texting. This occurred 90% of the time.

I had used Delaware moving and storage two times prior to my move to downstate Delaware. I was happy with those two occasions. On one occasion I moved everything to the garage to get the floors refinished. Happy with that experience. Then I had a piano moved in. Happy with that experience. This time , my furniture had to go on storage for three weeks prior to a move to Milton. I thought they packed everything well or wrapped everything well, but my white furniture had black marks all over it.

I was very happy with Delaware Moving and Storage with one large exception. If you use them ask for Beverly. She was our driver and supervisor. They were a pleasure to deal with as was Aaron, our sales agent. We were advised to purchase the best plan for our needs and that was a good thing overall. We had a long move, and we found all of the movers on our job to be friendly, and willing to help where needed, even for the little things.

Working with the office was easy and a pleasure .Packing days went well until after 7 months when I opened my boxes. Some boxes had great amount of protected paper while others had none to minimum. Just today I opened my Easter container of decorations and 60% was smashed. Even the containers plastic bottom was all cracked up . My China had minimum amount of paper and luckily we only lost 4 pieces. My huge 5 ft nutcrackers did not fend well.

I arranged a move for my mother, moving from my childhood home into independent living. When I spoke with Eddie on July 16th, I was told that, even though the schedule was tight, he would arrange a morning pickup on the requested date of July 29th. When I received the confirmation call on Friday July 26 before the Monday move, I was told that it would be an 11AM pick up, but he would try for earlier.

Terrible moving experience with a local move--hired this company to assist with packing the residuals of a house that had already been largely moved and a piano. I have a large array of valuable antiques and other items and had particular concerns hiring a mover generally. While I was reassured of the professionalism of the company, that turned out to not be the case. First, a number of the movers showed up smelling of marijuana on the job--that is not what I would expect from professional, courteous movers.
