In their own words
The movers were polite in conversation, but their actions showed no respect for our time or money. Even though we had fewer items than originally quoted and extra help on site, they deliberately dragged out the job. Several workers spent long periods talking or standing around while only one person actually worked. When I raised my concerns with the lead mover, he understood and acknowledged the issue. However, when I was asked to speak with management, they dismissed my concerns and refused to adjust the charge.
I was quoted $300 but was charged $450. I was told by the movers who even stated they were at my house for only 63 minutes because my husband was placing the items on our mule so the movers didn’t have to do long walks around the house to store some furniture but still got the charge. This is my second time with College Hunks. I won’t reach out to you a third time.
Ms. Peterson, we are sorry for the confusion, however; we have reviewed your recorded call with our booking center and found that you were informed of our 2-Hour minimum for service in your area due to the distance from our Hampton office plus the travel fee.
What a joke to move a couch and mattress $179.00 not and then the guy on the phone said if I did not like the price they will still take it what a lie hope nobody else gets lied to , mind was just junk the guys where nice but I was lied to and being a woman no man will screw me over never will
Ms. Taylor - I reviewed your recorded call with our call center. The agent did not say what you indicate above. You must have misunderstood as it makes no sense to do this - everyone would take the "free" option if that is what we tell customers and we our company would not exist.

SO GLAD WE CHOSE COLLEGE HUNKS! From start to finish, their communication was outstanding, and their commitment to excellence was evident in every detail. Moving is often very stressful - it certainly was for us - but, they truly made the entire process smooth, efficient, and even enjoyable. What truly impressed us was the level of care they showed with our belongings and their commitment to customer service—nothing was damaged during the move, which speaks volumes about their professionalism and attention to…

It feels so good to get rid of "junk" and know it will be a treasure to someone else. I donated and junked stuff I didn't really need and it feels great! I recommend College Hunks Hauling, Junk, and Moving. They were on time, loaded my items quickly, and were professional, and very courteous. They also gave me a fair rate. Here's to minimalism!!
Glad we were able to help, K L! We always strive to provide the best experience for our customer’s junk removal and moving needs and are extremely pleased to see this was the case for you.
Joewan & Zack are the best!!! I needed to discard a bed, box spring, and headboard for a full size bed. I gave this company a call and I was immediately greeted by someone who was extremely kind and patient. Right before they arrived, it started raining. They made very wise decisions to make sure that my house didn’t get wet and that they weren’t inconvenienced either. The white glove service is amazing and they were very upfront about any additional fees that may occur, depending on what they’re removing.
HG 808, Thank you for the 5-stars! We take pride in giving our customers the best service and we’re overjoyed to receive your compliments and appreciation. We’re incredibly grateful that you took the time to leave us this review and hope to serve you again in the future for any junk removal or…
Honestly, I was very satisfied and impressed with College Hunks. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!! Hands down the best responsive company/employees I've dealt with, someone always kept me informed about the whereabouts and the service was top notch during the transition. Matt and his crew of two young gentlemen (7/5/22) did an exceptional job and did so in a timely manner, which was greatly appreciated. Even with a short notice, (less than 24 hours) College Hunks came through and delivered!!
Tyler Peacock, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful review. Our team works diligently to provide our customers the best junk hauling and moving experiences. Reviews such as yours help provide them with encouragement to keep doing what they are doing.
