Daley moved us from Litchfield to Harwinton in Jan 2022. The truck crashed and most of our big ticket items were destroyed (app $65000 lost) Our remaining items needed to be kept at the facility for insurance adjusters to review. During this time, these items were not secured, picked through and stolen from us. $43000 is missing and never delivered. The company says they don’t know where our things are.

It is very rare that I give such a low review. In all my years of doing reviews, this may only be the 2nd time, so I don't do it lightly. This company was recommended by my realtor as I was moving from Florida to Connecticut and had a huge and difficult move. They seemed like a good choice, and I opted for them as they are a small family run business vs. a large corporation. This seemed an advantage at first. They answered the phone immediately and we're very courteous.

Actually went back to this company a second time as the employees who actually do the moving are nice, honest and work hard. The owner and the office staff not so much. Really regretting going back to Daley though even though a move in-between resulted in several possession sprouting legs and walking. Our lease was up and new place was not ready for a month. Just as when I was waiting on and repeatedly calling to get some quote options sent to me it took a couple weeks for them to finally send it.
Sometimes local isn't good -- if they are thieves. Very difficult to get money back from the estimated amount, which you have to prepay. They overcharged me by more than a thousand dollars. I had to fight via American Express, the Better Business Bureau (worthless), and the Department of Consumer Protection. I had to prevail -- again -- on friends who had helped me pack to attest to their assistance because Daley claimed packing time and boxes -- neither of which were used.
If Daley’s owes you money we will 100% of the time return it to you even if it is $5.!! This review does not make sense. Your name doesn’t even come up in our customer base. Please call me to discuss. [phone removed]
Joke of a company. Quoted $425/hr on the phone without giving any details. Then after a days worth of work, they charge $7600 for 9 hours. What?!? How is that $425/hr? Turns out they don't tell you about the "extras" until after the job is done.

Too far away to bring boxes on schedule and when did, wrong ones and inadequate for what was needed. Arrived around 9:30-10 o'clock and left us at 1:30 in the morning. Lost the hinges to our piano, lied down in our bed and made fun of …
Ms Visnapui changed the scope of service and was over whelmed and not prepared to handle this move with out help. She made the men wait at the door before she provided instructions as to where the item should be placed.
BUSINESS lacks professionalism and integrity. Best to choose another local moving company. In this case cheap means low quality.

From the initial phone call to the final delivery, their professionalism and precision stood out. The owner personally came to give me a free estimate and offered a fair flat rate for a unique move- downsizing from a large home to a one-bedroom apartment. I asked for same-day pickup and delivery, and they delivered flawlessly. The crew was organized, respectful, and efficient.

I highly recommend Daley moving and storage. The guys who packed our furniture handled it with care and were very hard working. The supervisor came to check in to make sure everything was satisfactory which was. Sue who works in the office was very accommodating to assist me with documents I needed that were in storage. Everyone that I interacted with was nice and very helpful. They made our move less stressful and their prices are very reasonable!

Had a great moving experience with Daley recently. Will, Paul, Cameron, and Carlos were extremely professional and courteous. They loaded everything I asked and unloaded it where I asked them to. They were extremely efficient considering there was snow on the ground and the temps were freezing. A Huge thank you to Gina and the guys who I worked with.
