I strongly advise against using DeHaven’s Moving & Storage Inc. for international moves. My experience with them was frustrating, misleading, and far more expensive than quoted. * **Overcharges:** I was billed more than the original estimate, even though fewer items were shipped and less labor was required. * **Misleading Quotes:** I was quoted one price for air shipment but later billed at a much higher rate.
I originally gave a 3 star review but it has slipped to a one star. Our driver would not bring his truck down our street for loading which meant loading a smaller truck to drive up the street 500 ft to the truck and loading. On the other end in Utah the same thing happened with our storage facility. So 4 moves in total that we were charged an extra $1,000 for. The following week a large truck was able to move the new homeowners into our old home AND large trucks move in the storage facility as well.
Could not have been a worse move. Unprofessional, lost over 22 boxes and items, took no accountability and we still do not know where our belongings are located. Do NOT use them for your move. after waiting 6 weeks for resolution, I am …

It is rare that I'd choose to leave a negative review, but my experience with DeHaven's over the past few years was truly awful-- if you have moving or storage needs and want to get your items catalogued and delivered to you in a timely and organized manner, this is *not* the company for you. I think their sweet spot is with large company contracts (Duke football, for example) and absolutely not for private individuals. They delivered items to my home that were not from my storage.
I really wanted to leave a positive review because, for the most part, this company did a good job. The crew was on time, they handled our furniture with care, and the logistics of our overnight move went off without any major issues. However, what should have been a seamless experience was overshadowed by a very serious problem: some extremely valuable personal items went missing during the move.
We hired North American for our recent cross country move because we've used North American several times in the past and thought they worked with trusted and professional affiliates. This by far was the worst move we've ever experienced. In fairness, I believe most of the issues happened with the originating affiliate agent, however The NC side was just as disappointing.

This whole process working with DeHavens has been great. The packers were great and they loaded up all our stuff with care and did it so fast! Bruce kept in touch during the transport and arrived promptly at 8am and the crew unloaded and were wonderful. I can’t say enough about how great it was working with them. Great guys that genuinely care about people!
