The final bill turned out to be almost three times higher than the estimate, and we also had to rent a truck at our own expense to make two trips ourselves. The movers were professional; that's not the issue. It's the discrepancy between the estimate and the actual cost that concerns us. We sent two emails to the company to try to understand this discrepancy and received no response.

Unreliable company in its bids and incompetent in its services (damage, concealed or unreported losses, disrespectful to its customers, refusal to reimburse damages, etc.). Summons to court.

If I could, you wouldn't have a star rating. I couldn't select zero. On May 20th, we hired Sam Denis Moving, but unfortunately, our new residence burned down. I couldn't reach the office to tell them not to send the truck. But at 7:00 AM, the truck arrived. I explained the situation to Nicolas (the driver), who then contacted the office. The person in charge of reservations told him to only be billed for 3 hours, round trip. They charged us $850.00, which is expensive per hour.

Worst experience ever! This is the eighth time I've hired movers, and with the others I've always had excellent service. I should mention that I work afternoons when they call; I give them a time I need to leave, and I still have to call them to make sure they stick to that agreement. I give them a verbal list of what needs to be moved—surprise, surprise, when they arrive they refuse to move the treadmill. Same hassle with the apartment piano.

After two email exchanges regarding the relocation of cement statues, I received no further response. No explanation, no follow-up. If this type of relocation isn't part of your services—for example, a statue weighing approximately 150 lbs, even though you move pianos weighing over 1,000 lbs—it would be more professional to clearly state this rather than leaving customers in the dark. The customer service is therefore very disappointing. For this experience, one star is already too much.

The service is truly terrible, especially considering the high price. The move itself went smoothly, and the movers were professional. However, two items broke during the move, and the movers told me to send an email for compensation, which I did. I had to follow up for a year (!!) to finally get a response. They told me that breakages happen and that they couldn't do anything for me. I'm really disappointed, given that I had used their services in the past and had been satisfied.

They stained the quartz countertop of our brand new vanity, worth over $2,000 (black fingerprints from handling it). We tried to remove the stains with the appropriate products, but to no avail. The company completely refused to compensate us, offered no apology, and denied any wrongdoing, despite the photos we sent. We were told we wouldn't be able to prove anything and therefore they wouldn't do anything about it. A complete lack of ethics, respect, and professionalism.

The movers damaged several walls and even the ceiling, and didn't use protective mats on the carpeted stairs or the floor, resulting in dirt everywhere. They were also unable to place the furniture and boxes following simple instructions (all the boxes marked "basement" were left on the main floor, and I had to move everything myself). I'm giving two stars instead of one because the second team came to fix the job, but it was too late to address the damage and mess.
