What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
From first inquiry through delivery (and beyond), Dan and the team at Downtown Piano Works were a joy to work with: fast, friendly, informative communication; a piano carefully delivered in perfect condition; and, best of all, a great downtown showroom where you can try out all of the great Yamaha options and Dan & the team will help you try to find the best fit for your needs, without up-selling or pressure.
We are so glad you’re enjoying your new Yamaha Avant grand. Thanks for allowing Downtown Piano Works to earn your business.
Friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful (even after the sale!). I went to Downtown Piano Works in search of a digital piano. I had tried a few other brands but wanted to try the Yamahas before making a final decision. I told Dan that touch, sound, and feel were more important to me than the technology (grew up with an acoustic). When I arrived for my appointment, he had already found the right piano for me. I tried others while I was there but the one he showed me first was spot on (Clavinova CL745).
It was our pleasure helping you select the proper piano for your needs. Thank you so much for allowing Downtown Piano Works to earn your business. Enjoy your new Yamaha CLP-745.
In short, there are no other piano dealers for me: there are Dan & Terri at Downtown Piano Works, period. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Ever. Dan & Terri Shykind are the kind of people you wish you could deal with every single day. I mean this sincerely when I say that they are truly one of the best parts of my professional musical life, both for their professional efforts on my behalf, for their generosity, and for their absolute devotion to making my musical life the best that it can be.
Our pleasure Matthew. Helping teachers select a piano is particularly gratifying.
I would highly recommend Downtown Piano Works if you are shopping for a piano, if you are looking for a great price and a great experience. I had wanted to purchase a new piano for several years before seriously working on the “project” April 2017. All my friends who purchased a new piano did that through forming a group and negotiating a group discount from a dealer. Somehow I never got the information in time to join such a group.
We’re thrilled you chose to write a review almost two years after you purchased your Yamaha grand piano! We hope it brings you many more years of joy.
