⚠️ 2 MONTHS OF DELAY, FORCED TO PAY FAKE CHARGES, DAMAGED/LOST ITEMS ⚠️ I’m going through one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I wish I had taken the 1-star reviews more seriously before hiring this company for my Toronto to California move. What I thought were "special cases" turned out to be the norm. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
My experience was absolutely terrible. They didn't bother to call before showing up, which caused a huge inconvenience. One of my furniture covers was stolen during the move, and they slapped on extra charges that were never mentioned …
Avoid Easy Moving: Damaged my property and ghosted when held accountable. I hired Easy Moving for my recent move, and they severely damaged my 3-month-old TV during transit. Both the fair market value and the official repair estimate for the TV are $700. When I raised this issue, they offered an arbitrary $300 compensation with no proper basis.
I would not recommend this company at all! Terrible experience. I hired them to move my furniture from Winnipeg to Toronto. My furniture was damaged and broken by the time it arrived. - they did not adequately pack and protect the furniture - my coffee table legs were broken and it seems like someone tried to tape it to fix it which they did not disclose - my side tables were dented - my arm chairs had dents in them because they stacked other furniture on top - my new sofa was RIPPED.
We had an awful experience with this company, all thanks to Kevin, who is supposedly the “decision maker,” yet has no idea how to treat customers with basic respect. Kevin was nothing but rude, passive-aggressive, and disrespectful. Our original estimate to move our belongings from our 1BHK in Toronto to New Jersey was approximately $2,400, and suddenly, without any prior notice or update, we were told the cost would be $5,000. Our items were also delayed.
Lol. I was just going to leave one star and leave it at that. But the geniuses decided to call my review fake. So just as a warning for anyone. My wife was moving from Boston to Toronto. She agreed on a date and time and signed a contract. Two days before the agreed upon date they decided to call and say. "We can't make it on the day we agreed. We'll be losing money. You can take your deposit back" At the last minute they wanted to pull out. And we just had to deal.
