Worst moving company I ever had, and I move a lot. They told us they were unpacking, but when they delivered the stuff to the new house they just threw the boxes anywhere. (And didn't unpack) Chris was very disrespectful and loud and cursing in the front yard, and all through the house. I believe he was on the phone at the time. John and the other 2 workers were really kind though! It just wasn't a good detail job.
My family hired this company three months ago for a short across town move. We were charged another $100 for an extra charge that was not in our original quote. I let it go because from the horror stories I have heard I figured it could be worse. Today when we unwrapped the furniture that they moved we discovered two of the doors of our tv unit had been ripped off! This was a solid piece of furniture and I still can't imagine how they managed to do this. Save your furniture and go elsewhere. Worst movers ever.

If you’re looking to hire a moving company that blocks in your neighbors, hires rude drivers with inflated egos, and has a manager who confuses customer service with therapy time—Family Moving & Storage might be right up your alley. Their truck (AZ plate CK92155) was parked in a way that completely blocked our apartment parking lot—no one could get out.
Originally booked for a month about a month in advance. A few days after booking, we found out issues came up with our new home and we could not move in as scheduled. I immediately called them to reschedule, or at least let them know of the issue. I received a RUDE phone call from an employee that indicated I was being charged $100.00, unless I can tell him right then what date I wanted to reschedule to. That I could not do.
Customer was informed that cancellation policy is in effect once job is booked he also was told if he rescheduled move we would refund money did not make him give date.Also. he did not call to cancel he emailed .
Don't hire these guys unless you don't mind having things go missing. I forgot I had something hidden in my couch. When the movers and I got to my new apartment I found out my bathroom was flooded and water was still coming out of the ceiling. I was so preoccupied dealing with that that I did not immediately take inventory of all my stuff. I later discovered that one of the movers had found the machete I had hidden in my couch and kept it for himself.
Customer signed all items received a machete left in couch cushion in not advisable to leave in couch could easily fell out during moving couch. When moving his couch had to turn it on side. Not to mention it's a class 3 weapon .
If I could give them no stars I would...went to get my items that they "gently" put into a storage unit a few months ago and found out that not only was my TV stand cracked and now wobbles; my 3 year old flat screen TV has an internal crack …
I was quite surprised to learn the owner is not in the business of customer service. Unlike other movers, Family Moving and Storage will ask you for an up-front security deposit which they will not refund under any circumstances. DON'T …

The abnormal rain set us back that week put us behind so we called 3 days before her move she told us she could possibly move after 5pm on the 30th which we don't normally start at that time she said she would get back to us and never did and then proceeded to leave this review

First we would like to thank our ambitious, strong, and efficient movers, Dwayne and Julio, they were friendly and caring about our belongings. We took these photos of them and I promised them I would send them copies, please forward them on to them.
Armando and Victor have moved my apartment twice now and they did an amazing job! They are very efficient and make sure everything is wrapped and secure and place everything exactly where I want it.
