Light Brothers Moving Company

The movers unhooked the fridge and flooded our house, while moving the fridge at our destination they did not see if it does not fit the door and it dented our fridge. Then one of our monitor that I use for home office is missing. This is very unprofessional and not trust worthy.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. FOR MANY REASONS. They showed up 1.5 hours late despite confirming one day prior that they would be at our place at 1 pm. Our trailer had taken six parking spots at our new place. We were forced to start unpacking and moving without the help we hired. When they finally did show up, they didn't have the instructions that they were just unloading a trailer and helping to carry it up stairs. Their dispatch people didn't communicate that with them.

This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. I hired 2 people for 2 hours at 4:30PM, and they called me at 4:30 to tell me they are late. They said they will be there soon. Then, they called me at 7PM to tell me that they are on their way. Eventually they showed up at 10:30PM and at that point I was so exhausted and frustrated. However only 1 guy showed up and told me that his colleague quit. I've tried to call the owner of the company and he wouldn't respond to my texts or pick up.

They overcharged me by an hour. I have called and spoken with Brandon who said they would refund me the difference. After two weeks and placing a bad review. I finally got a response stating they were not able to refund my Credit Card and I had to give them either Zelle or Vemo to get the refund. They do not actively offer an invoice. The movers scratched one of my wood bureaus and completely chip off the corner of another one. I was asked to send in photos so he could use them as training.

I regret to say I cannot recommend this moving company. Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. I’ve never written a negative review before, but every interaction with the owner, Brandon, was difficult and unprofessional. Originally, we were scheduled to have three movers. One canceled at the last minute, and instead of finding a replacement, the other two chose to proceed without backup. After just 2–3 hours, they were clearly exhausted, and the situation deteriorated quickly.

***update 2025 - Jessica and her family have reached out multiple times over the past few years trying to offer amends for my experience. She insists changes have been made, and while I have not used them again, I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt. They did replace the glass in my table that was broken, and have seemed to do whatever they could to try to make the situation right. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I hate to write a bad review of a mom and pop business. I always take time to write positive review when I have good experiences. This was absolutely not. Had high expectations of the company as a friend referred me. 3 issues: 1. They didn't even introduce themselves and immediately started in with a curt demeanor asking what price was negotiated. I told them the price and then they said it would be $180 more for the first two hours.

Wow, what a mistake it was using this company, showed up over 7 hours late, left water bottles and trash in the front yard, when the trash can was only 20 feet away. They didn't bring a big enough truck so they left over two rooms of furniture behind, then blaming my wife for under stating the amount of furniture, which is completely untrue. Since I'm the one who spoke with Brandon (the owner) telling him: we have a Three Bedroom, three car garage with a Large Smoker, BBQ, and yard furnishings.
