The worst moving company ever.. they only took what they wanted.. over charged us and gave us the wrong tv and took forever to deliver our things.. Hello, Family moving provided me with an estiamte that was better than the competition so of course I took it. No explination of the contract was given, but at the time of the move they almost charge me double the price, and estimate that was $3110 ended up to be about $6800 in cost. Of couse, I knew an estimate would change but had no idea it would almost be double. We had someone watching them load itmes onto the truck and I was told that they were droping our boxe and couch.

I cannot recommend Family Moving LLC based on my experience. I hired a moving brokerage company (unbeknownst to me) who contracted this company. I paid an initial deposit to the brokerage company based on an estimate of 286 cubic feet. $2372.50 total. A deposit of $892. The crew arrived roughly four hours earlier than the agreed pickup time after I had specifically arranged an afternoon pickup because I was retrieving belongings from New Jersey.
We are writing a review for familymovingnj llc. I called the moving company 3 months in advance to get a quote on moving from Pennsylvania to Maryland. I sent a message regarding what I needed to have moved as well as date and time to be moved. I received a call back from the sales associate. He explained that I would receive an accurate quote after my list of items to move are provided. There would be no visit to my home by the sales person to view my items.

UPDATE - after spending thousands of dollars for this company they decided my compensation should be $6. What a disgrace this company is and I have told all my friends and family to stay FAR away from this company. I had a very disappointing experience with this moving company. Several of my items were damaged during the move, and two boxes are completely missing. I trusted them with my belongings and did not receive the care or accountability I expected. I would not recommend based on my experience.

SCAMS, CROOKS, THIEVES, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME!.. They tried to charge AGAIN when collecting, and AGAIN on delivery! They wanted $300. extra to take a BROOM & MOP STICK??!! Then they Wanted me to sign responsibly for All Parking tickets they'll get on the way??!! My things- (LESS than a Studio size & they have a BOX truck), Wanted me to Sign responsibly for if an 18 wheeler could not fit here??! I had to CALL THE DISPATCHER WHO KNOWS HOW TO SCAM AND ASK Why he needed an 18 wheeler for 11 boxes.

Update: I sent an email with paperwork to confirm having used your service. Took delivery over 25 days to move from NY to TX, past due from agreed date for delivery ,and Inventory showed 18 missing boxes/totes/items. Not 1 box, but 18!! Decades of memory you cant replace, collections lost, and damaged items. Ive pictures of broken vintage item as well and damaged totes. Will assume that how they treat disabled veterans and their families. Unacceptable!!!
