I hired the company out of crown point, and let me tell ya, bad people, very unprofessional, complained like they never moved before. They broke my sons tv without saying anything and they also stole my daughters box of clothes!! Whatever you do, do not trust these people like we did! Our experience was a NIGHTMARE!!! No one is getting back to us about our complaints!! very disappointed with our move!! who does such a thing! thieves and sneaky liers!!! just awful people!! STAY AWAY your valuables will be stolen!!

I wasn't going to post any review, but it is coming up on a year since we used this company and we are still finding that things are missing. We used Ferree for an interstate move from Illinois to Pennsylvania. The moving crew that moved items out of the house numbered 5 or 6 people with a North American small moving truck. We were told that the items would be transferred to another truck for the interstate travel and that there would be 4 movers to unload.
I was looking to use ferree for a maybe medium size load to move from Merrillville Ind, to Davenport Iowa. Total miles is 190 miles and of course 190 miles back. I am moving in July, I'm in a 2 bedroom apartment to move into a 1 bedroom apartment. I have very little big, heavy belongings, the biggest things to be moved are a bedroom set, a futon, 2 tv's, (60"& 32")and 40 boxes give or take a few, and a baker's rack, after they sent a estimator to look at my belongings they text me back with, in my opinion was the…

Used this company to move last year and throughout unpacking we have noticed how bad of a job they did. Large boxes we were charged for containing only one or two pillows and the rest filler paper. Items were broken and damaged as well as many have just been missing and never accounted for. After being quoted a specific price and the guys coming out to work, they weren’t going to get it done fast enough so they told me they were sending out more guys that I needed to pay per hour so they could finish the job on…

Wish I could give no stars! set up an estimate for 9am...had a missed call at 8:41am that morning confirming the appointment. When I called back at 9am they said they couldn't do the appointment because he didn't hear back. They said the appointment was for 9-10am, but the confirmation email says 9am. When I said that was unprofessional Cheryl hung up on me. I wouldn't trust them to move me if they can't be professional and timely while doing the estimate!
This place is full of scammers. They moved my belongings and I paid for insurance. Then when things were broken and damaged, they offered me pennies on the dollar, and said that is all they would authorize and they don't like to file claims …

If I could rate Ferree Movers above five stars, they would certainly earn a perfect ten. On moving day, the North American truck arrived with a team of four, and they efficiently packed my two-story, three-bedroom home—complete with basement and shed—into the truck in approximately five hours. Throughout the process, it was clear that my belongings were handled with great care. The team was equally mindful of protecting my home, including the floors and all items I had packed or labeled.
Feree Movers packed up our home and drove everything across country for us for a fair price. Everything was packed better than I could have imagined and arrived in tact. Never thought a cross country move could be so easy! Their employees were respectful and professional and cared for our things as their own. We will certainly be calling them again now that we know we don’t have to be living in the Chicagoland area to book with them!
