Several items were damaged during our move, including our living room TV. While they did return to patch a wall they damaged, the paint didn’t match, and it was poorly done. On top of that, I was accused of not checking a box thoroughly for a missing TV cord—which they had lost—and I had to borrow my son’s just to test the TV. Once we powered it on, it was clear the TV had been completely mishandled and crushed.

I used first step movers for the first time was referred to them everything was good til my new headboard was damaged doing the move I let the moving guy know about this damage I spoke with Christy she promised me the mover would repair it they moved me 2 weeks ago today I have emailed and called never got a call back about this and they scraped my hardwood floor by dragging my couch on the floor I will not recommend this company

First Step Moving was fantastic! They were easy to work with on getting the moved scheduled and gave a fair and accurate quote. On moving day, Chris and his guys showed up right on time and got straight to work. They worked quickly and made sure every single piece of furniture was wrapped and handled with care. Excellent experience! Communication with the company was fantastic - even spoke with the owner to make sure we had just what we needed at a great price. It was super easy to text or call with any changes or issues. We had 4 guys and they were professional and efficient. They didn’t waste a bit of time and “Red” was an expert Tetris-master loading the truck and then our storage unit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

In the past 12 months First Step Moving has moved a portion of our household goods from our home in one city to an apartment and storage unit in another city twice and finally moved it all into our new home in the second city in a third move. Christy Vincent is the owner and runs a well oiled machine-she communicates well, prices fairly, treats her employees humanely and compassionately. We were able to have Pedro twice as the move leader.

We had a 5 man crew who moved our family yesterday and this may have been the best move I’ve ever had. These guys worked their tails off. Pedro was extremely meticulous and a great leader to his team. Not only that, they were the kindest and most positive hard workers. They took such great care of our furniture and belongings. They were patient when I couldn’t decide where to put things. They stayed focused the whole day and didn’t mess around at all. You could tell they were respectful of our time.
