Movers Plus

I had used movers plus five years ago when I moved into my first home. The move was quick, the movers were great, and they handled my items with care. Fast forward five years later, when I decided to move again, and remembered the excellence service from the first go round. I got a quote, seemed reasonable, and everything was all set. The movers themselves were great, they were friendly, and for the most part outside of damaging my couch a little bit, they were great. Now why only two stars?

The movers did not show up in the time frame. I called and left a voicemail for the office person. A woman called back, acting like she didn't know who I was though I have a scheduled move email from them in my email. She put me on hold for 15 minutes, never coming back. Thinking she forgot I hang up and call back and she sends it to voice mail. I keep calling every 10 minutes or so and it keeps going to voicemail. Super rude and unprofessional. I NEVER heard back from her.

Worst experience ever! Multiple issues not just one. 1. We were told movers will come in around 11 am. They ended up coming in at 4.30 pm, wasted all day waiting for them. 2. They sent third party folks to move our stuff. They were literally throwing our boxes in the truck. I asked them not to, but continued their own way. 3. They literally squeezed and pushed our appliances through the door frames. There was no trying different way or thinking through as a real caring mover. 4.

Where do I begin with how bad this was? Scheduling was fine but that's where it ended. I was scheduled from 8-930am but I get a text at 919am saying there was a problem with the truck and they are working on getting another crew. I asked for an hour off my bill but she refused. That was the last message I got from Movers Plus even though I texted 7 more times. They finally show up at 11am. When I leave after they load there truck, I drive by their truck and the windshield is missing and the hood is up.

I would avoid these folks. They appear to be "bait and switch" artists. I say this because they gave us the quote shown below: "Estimated Quote $933.75 - $988.25" Only after we engaged them for the move did we discover that we were conned into writing them what amounted to a blank check. They billed us for $1,706.00 --- more than $700 over the high end of their estimate. I would say that either they are totally incapable of giving you a reasonably accurate estimate, or they are intentionally deceptive.

I was double charged and have been calling and texting no response for the past few hours. $3,900! I have to file a dispute with my bank since I can’t get in contact with this company. The movers did not assemble beds or couch. And damaged the legs on one of the beds. Found the wood chip on my driveway.

I had a fantastic experience with Movers Plus. They were fast, friendly, so careful with all of our things, and so knowledgeable and professional- things I thought would hard to move they handled so easily. We are moving again in about 6 months and Movers Plus will be our only call! Update 8/31/24 As planned, I called Movers Plus for our second move, and it couldn’t have been a more night and day experience. I had to work in the morning so scheduled an afternoon move, 11-2.

I used this company because I used them several times in the past with no issues. This time, I had a move on Sunday 3/30/25. Two men crew got there in the morning after 8. I only had 1 bedroom set. Small dinette table w/ 4 chairs, washer and dryer. Everything thing else was 20 medium size boxes and 12 clear packing bags and miscellaneous items.It took the crew over 5 hours to move these from Euless address to Fort Worth. 28 minute drive.
