Get Movers Ottawa ON

Absolute 0!!!! This was the most unprofessional and stressful moving experience we’ve ever had. We booked a move with GetMovers for 11:00 AM, under a fixed-rate contract. Instead, they outsourced the job without informing us to a company called Pascal, whose crew showed up, quoted six hours to move just suitcases and same-size boxes, and then left without doing anything. We called GetMovers multiple times asking for support and a refund of our deposit, but they refused and ghosted us for hours.

Very dishonest fraudsters. Cruel, unscrupulous and racist. They agreed to do my move within the budget that I told them I can only afford . Took my deposit and charged me on top of the deposit . Harassed and intimidated me in my unit in the presence of my child and neighbors whiles trying to rob me. The charged me a price that was nowhere on the contract the sent me and refused to release all my items until unless I go ahead with the robbery.

Last weekend I moved from a two bedroom apartment to a townhouse. I spoke ahead of time to the sales rep, asked questions and the pricing, as there are stairs an requested a quote sent by email, not just over the phone so I could have all the info. Two days before they called and confirmed what furniture we had and the stairs again. The quote was for $525 for 3 hours. The movers arrived just over an hour late, they immediately complained about the one flight of stairs and said "it'll cost more".

If I could give them 0 star I definitely would! Overall very disappointed by their customer service and their service in general. My move was booked with them for a while. First of all, they have « passed the job » to a third party last minute without even telling them any details about my move. So Obviously the third party was not properly equipped for the move and they ended up canceling on me because they had another job and they didn’t want to be late to their other one because no one told them in the first…

I hired this company for an office move on Thursday April 16, 2025, from unit 802 to unit 2010 within the same building in downtown Ottawa. I would never hire them again, nor recommend them. Here are my reasons. 1- they Told me that the clock starts when the guys show up to do the work. And there is no one hour travel cost. They gave me an hourly rate for three guys which was higher than other movers, but I thought to myself, maybe it’s worth it because they don’t charge travel fees.

Would leave a zero star if possible absolutely would not recommend. I don’t even know where to start how about the fact that they were 3 hours late of the scheduled time and complained none stop about the lack of an elevator even after I told them when booking. Took them 3 hours to make a 1 hour drive when we left at the exact same time and when I called to complain the about the terrible service the mover got hostile and extremely rude with me offering the excuse of “traffic bro” when there was no traffic for me…

BEWARE. Do not hire this moving company!! We hired Get Movers in Ottawa to move from our three bedroom house. Upon booking we confirmed the size of the house, type of furniture, etc. and were told it would take 3 hours at two guys. If it took a little longer it would be $70 per extra half hour. To say that they moved slowly is an understatement. The 3 hours was up and they still hadn’t finished loading half off our stuff in the truck!! AND we had brought several boxes already to the house ourselves.

I’m extremely disappointed with the moving service I received. The entire experience fell far below what I expected when I booked with this company. The movers worked at an unreasonably slow pace, often moving just one item at a time. The process was disorganized and highly inefficient from start to finish. On top of that, the truck they brought was far too small for the move, which required multiple trips and significantly contributed to the delays.
