Ottawa Moving Company - AMJ

Absolutely garbage service. They delayed shipping our contents significantly and Communication has been piss poor with this company. Considering the fact that we paid nearly $30,000 to ship a life overseas, you'd think they would make an attempt to coordinate the shipment properly. There was no communication between the man who made the plan and the packers. None of this information was shared with the packers, so they started packing contents from rooms that weren't even included in our inventory.

We are writing this now to let the mover beware. We hired them because they were a bigger company and thought their salesman seemed fine and helpful. The salesperson, and what we actually got were a lot different than we expected. They did a local move for us, 35 km, back in the Fall. We packed everything except the two clothes closets. It's hard to say where to start with this one because what should have been a stress-free simple move turned out to be very stressful. One worker was very surly and in my face.

I can't comment on whether this company is any good at moving, but I can say one thing for sure - they don't empower their drivers to make even the most common sense decisions. We had a delivery scheduled today but someone along the line made a single-digit mistake on the delivery address (same street, wrong number). We saw the truck fly by... chased after them half way across town, told them what the mistaken address was, who the delivery was for, offered proof of ID, invoice, etc. etc.

This review is two fold; HORRIBLE customer service with complete lack of willingness to help, and overall terrible experience. This was the shipping company Wazo used to deliver our order. AMJ picked up the order on July 26th from Toronto, to be delivered in Ottawa. I started following up with AMJ a week later to get some sort of ETA as I still hadn't gotten any update. The lady I kept getting transferred to, I believe her name is Elizabeth, offered no help whatsoever.

We were disappointed with our experience with AMJ Campbell as a military family this year. On loading day in Ottawa, I overheard one of the loaders complaining loudly inside the truck about “military pussies”. This was the team lead and we did not say anything out of fear of retribution in the care we received throughout the rest of our move. Once unpacked in our new home, we found many damaged or broken items.

The Worst Moving Experience Ever I used AMJ Campbell Ottawa for my move and it was an unmitigated disaster that cost me a fortune and caused enormous stress. When the container was delivered to my new home it looked as if it had been dropped from a great height. The boxes were heavily damaged and when they were unpacked many one-of-a-kind things were smashed and ruined. Much loved artworks were chipped, the legs were smashed off of my dining room table, and my stereo no longer worked.

Hello I'm writing to you on behalf of my mother. Bad Boys use this company for delivery. After 5 months of waiting for her couches because that's how long it takes Bad boys. She had a delivery for two couches upon delivery the movers told her that they thought it was going to be too small small of an elevator to have it moved up to her apartment they left the couches there for her one outside in the snow, one couches outside in front of her elevator in the lobby .

DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR MOVE! We went with AMJ because the salesman was very thorough and knowledgeable but when our move date came, they arrived 1 hour late and it went from bad to worse as the day progressed. I received an email from the Ops Manager the day before advising the team would arrive between 8:30 and 9am the next day and by 9:30 when they hadn’t arrived I sent an email to ask where they were only for him to respond that they were 10 minutes away.
