Update: During the move, the movers had to remove the refrigerator doors to get it out of the house. Right after we moved , we discovered that the refrigerator doors that they reinstalled are not set right and the doors do not stay closed. Plus they broke a freezer door shelf. One more reason not to hire these guys. Horrible service. Original post: If I were you I would not hire this company. The experience I had yesterday I wouldn't wish on anyone. The cost of this move was much more than they quoted me.

Your sales rep Anthony would not respond or refund the $50 charge when the moving company did not show up for the scheduled move. I continued to contact them on the mobile number they were using and they would not respond to either phone number. This company is a scam and will take even $50!

Beware of this company!! They charged us extra after the job was done without our authorization! We gave them a call and gave details on what to do, and the quote that we were given was $520 for everything, including moving off furniture and our table, as well the driver. Then, when they finished the job, they told us that the $520 was an estimate, not the final. However, in the start they told us that the final price was $520. That was not the deal!! Then after the job was done, they charged us $186 unauthorized!

No idea how these people have such high reviews. This review is long overdue. I would give them negative stars if possible. We hired them to move our 2bd, 2ba apartment a couple of streets down. Literally 5 minutes away. We hired 2 to 3 movers and was told it would talk 2 to 3 hours. They arrived without any dollies or doorstoppers. It took them more than 8 hours to move our stuff, and they still left many things in our old apartment. They took an hour break, for which they charged us during their break.

Terrible experience moving. Originally was supposed to move on a Friday, they gave a 5 hour time window. In the last hour of the time window I get a call letting me know the movers were going to be an hour late or I could reschedule. The storage I was moving things too was closing and the movers wouldn’t have enough time to make it so I was forced to reschedule. I was assured I would be first the next day given a 2 hour time window. Of course I was not first and the movers came late.

EDIT JULY 17, 2024: I think this company has closed. They do not have a working phone number. I've used Good Neighbors Moving twice and each time, they were so fast, kind, and helpful. Manny and Miguel were awesome and super efficient. My first move went smoothly and I was happy with the price. For my second move, the final charge was really expensive, even though I only moved a few items. Look over the agreement carefully so you know what you're getting into... I will be more mindful next time.

I hate to write this review, because the fellas that did the job broke their backs doing it. They were given a truck with a broken lift which caused it to take them 4 hours longer than they were supposed to. They permanently ruined an $8,000 sofa and two mirrors. I went through their BS insurance, and was offered a total of $237. I tried disputing the charge through my credit card company, and was told that I signed the bill of lading so I am f$%&ed. IF THEY DO A POOR JOB DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING.

Terrible customer service! This company is a SCAM! I have been trying to contact someone for weeks to update my moving reservation. I finally gave up after a week of no one contacting me back. I have requested multiple times, called almost everyday. No one has gotten back to me. I am being charged for services I did not use. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!
