Grand River Moving

*DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY* By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company! Extremely unprofessional, rude, ignorant scam artists. Showed up 2 hours late with no phone call that they would be late at all, damaged property, overcharged, left furniture unwrapped out in wet conditions and the list goes on. After trying to contact the office with no response for days, finally reached Nicole in the office only to be called stupid along with other vulgar names and getting hung up on.

We hired this moving company twice—once to move out of our old house and a couple of months later to move into our new house. While the movers were friendly and initially made us feel like we were in good hands, the experience turned out to be extremely disappointing. After the first move, there was a discrepancy in the price they tried to charge us, which we only resolved after back-and-forth discussions with the owner. We gave them another chance for our second move, but that was a huge mistake.

Wouldn’t recommend these movers as moving things myself would have gone better. -Sent a truck which couldn’t backup -After paying the movers and agreeing to an end time one mover tried getting more money out of us and we felt like they were going to hold our belongings hostage -There was infighting between movers and took 3 breaks in the first three hours -Ended up moving things myself and had to bring in additional help to get things moved Simply put I would not recommend using these movers.

Thought I should share my Experience with you in regards to the Move from Cambridge to Woodstock. Feb 2020. I called and requested a Quote in December. I did receive a quote over the phone and Email From Jesse who is the General Manager and not the Owner. I did explain to him that we would have all the small items moved, and all they had to worry about was the Large Furniture Items. Dressers, Couches, Beds etc, nothing small.

My experience with Grand River moving was very unpleasant. They were abrasive, unprofessional and did not care about my customer experience or satisfaction. The company “who hasn’t had a scratched floor claim in years” left multiple deep scratches in my refinished oak floors in my upstairs hallway and bedroom. I spoke to receptionist who asked me what I thought was fair compensation for the damage they caused. I had the flooring company (who had just refinished the floors) quote me 400$ to fix the scratches.

Don't use this company - sent an estimator to our house and when he arrived I let him know we were on a tight schedule (something came up at work) so if he could do this quickly that would be appreciated. I think this annoyed him. I am surprised they still have such a rude unprofessional individual on their staff.

I wish my husband and I had the opportunity to see the great work that the movers do (based on these reviews) but after waiting 9 hours for the truck to arrive we called to cancel. Unfortunately for us it seems we scheduled our move on the worst possible day as their 4 trucks were stuck somewhere else finishing other jobs - which we would have understood IF there was better communication and service.

The absolute worst movers that we have ever had....showed up with a small truck that was to move a four bedroom house. There were to be 3 guys and only 2 came. We had to wait for 4 hours for another truck and two more drivers. Drivers were very friendly but did a lot of cigarette breaks and talking. Driver Darius said do not be to hard on Lee when you call ( Lee is who comes out to do the quote) that he always under quotes....yeah no wonder so he can get the business contract signed Was supposed to have picture…
