Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge Moving company - AMJ

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Movers finished I signed the paper when they finished that said $1,300 and included admin fee and the insurance $190, $50 for tape… But I got charged exactly $2,335.00! $1,000 more!? They add extra charges that are beyond ridicules! I’ve moved 5 times before, every company includes everything in their quote, there are no other extra charges. On top of it the movers cracked my tv stand, ripped our queen mattress, and broke our 1 night table!

Not something that we would we repeat... We have moved items overseas and we were not told that the average time would up to 6 months in shared container as thats the industry standard... The packers were amazing(we have not received our items yet). Its the aftercare that really lets them down.We have emailed and told them of our disatisfaction but that bit gets ignored. We were infoirmed today although its in the uk and at the warehouse and through customs, it can now take up to 6 weeks for delivery as its busy..

We were extremely disappointed with the handling of our furniture, etc., by AMJ Campbell-Kitchener-Waterloo. Our household was loaded at the end of May, put into storage for 4+ months and delivered to our new home in October. During loading, the driver put his knee through the glass window at one end of the china cabinet. Not a problem.....accidents happen.....BUT he promised that the glass would be replaced during storage. However, when it arrived in October, the glass window had not been replaced.

The company packed on February 13. Moved on the 14th and were to unpack on the Saturday the 15th. The people who were to unpack and despite two phone calls, in the morning when they were suppose to be open. There was no answer and no phone call back to our messages. I phoned our contact latter the next week as well as the manager. This was the third and final time I will be using AMJ Campbell. John Bateman

My last move with AMJ Campbell was less than pleasant. They held my belongings in storage for a month and a half. During that time a number of pieces of furniture were scratched or broken including a 100 year old dresser. Boxes were dented and items broken. Not happy!

This is a review for a long-distance move. I don't have experience with short-distance moves. We recently completed a move with AMJ Campbell. The sales person was Darrin Drake and our point of contact (well, we thought it was our point of contact) was Jenna. The packing went pretty well - at least we thought that given their speed and professionalism). We were happy that the packers were flexible. As usual with moving, you only really know how well the job was done when you unpack on the other side.

When we decided to move our family from Ontario to Saskatchewan it was clear that we needed to prioritize a timely delivery as part of a well coordinated plan. We received quotes from half a dozen moving companies and AMJ was by far the most expensive. In meeting with Shawn Messenger he assured us that the high quote is due to their ability to deliver on their promises, and we shook hands and signed on a delivery spread no later than July 8. After the load out in Ontario we did not hear from AMJ again.

Worst company ever, if I could give 0 stars I would. We had furniture damaged as well as set up incorrectly. The most important damage that occurred however was to a fine art sculpture. I entrusted Atlas/AMJ Campbell with a treasured Inuit Art Sculpture and paid extra to have it crated and insured. USELESS. Their destination unloaders obviously did not follow the instructions and procedures to NOT uncrate the precious art as I paid $600.00 for a professional to crate and uncrate the sculpture.
