In their own words
The absolute worst! The owner Paul never came to our house to help with the estimate. I set up for his team to come onsite to help pack the day before but had everything except some kitchen cabinets and basement shelves packed and perfectly labeled for the rooms in the new house they should go. He quoted me 2-3 hours to pack my entire house- instead, his two guys spent 5.5 hours packing less than 30 boxes (which were not even filled because they were heavy).
I am sorry for the inconvenience.
I had an horrible experience with Paul in particular! He basically stole from me $80 to be exact!! He was rude condescending went back on what we agreed on acted like he didn’t remember what he quoted me told the workers to stop working(btw the workers themselves were phenomenal!!) until I sent the rest of payment.

I’ve used Great Chicago Movers for three separate moves, and unfortunately, after today’s experience, I will not be using them again. My first two moves—in January 2025 and April 2026—went smoothly. Communication was transparent, and Paul, who I believe is the owner, always provided clear breakdowns of the hourly rate, number of movers, truck fee, and any optional wrapping. I’ve kept the entire text history. For my most recent move on August 14, 2026, that transparency disappeared.
Scammers!!! Paul gave me 3 different quotes, starting at 2500 then 2000 then another quote for 2800 , when asked about the price difference he became extremely rude , dismissive and very unpleasant, I had planned on booking them for my move but after dealing with Paul I cannot recommend this company to anyone there are better movers to choose from who will value there clients and provide correct pricing without inflating the prices

In their own words
Booking is easy and Paul responds to texts very quickly! The moving crew arrived early and were very respectful with my belongings. They wrapped all of my furniture with plastic wrap and moving blankets, which were provided for an extra fee. I have had many belongings damaged and broken in other moves, but this one was stress free and I have not found any damage this time around! Overall a very good experience.

Great Chicago movers was fantastic! The pricing is significantly better than most other moving companies, the movers were incredibly efficient and it really was a no mess no stress move. I would definitely use great Chicago movers again and would strongly recommend them to anyone else looking to move!

Paul's team worked super quickly, and were clean, careful, and professional. They had my entire one bedroom apartment packed in under 2 hours. I did not pack a thing, and they unpacked at my new apartment. The whole move was super easy and performed as promise. I highly recommend to everyone!
