DO. NOT. USE. THIS. COMPANY. If it was just the bad customer service people are mentioning I could deal with it. Yes they largely kept me out of the loop, yes they showed up hours late to pick up the stuff when they knew I had a flight, yes they charged me nearly $2000 more than estimated, yes they were a day late to the move and “forgot” to tell me. ALL OF THAT WOULD BE FINE IF MY BELONGINGS ARRIVED SAFELY. My move cost $9000. $9000!
They quoted us for $1500 but it jumped to $2000+ and not all our stuff was even moved. We said we have 4 bedrooms worth of stuff and that we needed the biggest truck they have. They sent the wrong size truck and only 70% of our stuff is here. They still havent fixed the problem and want to charge as if the entire move happened. Not to mention they’re extremely slow and their customer service struggle with English.

I want to make an addition to this review from something we just noticed: The movers broke the leg of a desk and taped it, but never informed us it had been broken. Not only do they destroy your things, but they’re sleazy about it. I thought the tape had been part of the normal packing, so went to remove it and noticed this. We hired H2H movers for our move from Chicago to New York and we paid for the full packing service.
I used H2H movers to relocate within chicago, and this week I found that they stripped every screw in my bed frame while reassembling it in my new place. I reached out to customer service who refused to help since it fell outside their window for claims. This careless disregard for my belongings is blatant negligence. Anyone who knows how to use a power tool can prevent this kind of damage, but they clearly cared more about speed than doing it right.

My experience with H2H movers was phenomenal! Leading up to the move, there was clear communication on services as well as guidance on how to prep for the move. Day-of I received timely updates of ETA and a check-in during the move to ask me if everything was going well. The crew that took care of my move included Andrew, Andrii, and Didar and they were amazing!!! They were quick and courteous and took great care of getting my items from point A to point B - and they did all of this on a hot humid day!

Victor and Nick and Thomas and the rest of the team were absolute rock-stars and blew our expectations away! They arrived on time, communicated promptly and throughout the day. The crew was fantastic. They showed up on time, worked even faster than they had quoted, and were so friendly and helpful. I was very impressed by their speed, preparation, and professionalism! They disassembled and reassembled all my furniture and put it exactly where I wanted it. I’ve never had a move go smoother and it was a huge weight off my shoulders. One of the hottest days of the summer and they still made it look easy. I’d highly recommend H2H and would definitely use them for a future move.
