Really regret using this company. Thousands of $ in 'extra, hidden' costs. Unhelpful when problems arose. Lack of proper paperwork stating terms and conditions, including those regarding insurance. A LOT of damaged goods which insurance then refused to pay for because of lack of paperwork.There were serious discrepancies between the insurance we were sold and the service we apparently received. Dates for arrival of goods were off by 3 weeks ( once the ship had left port in NS).
I look after an apartment building and asked the driver today to move their big truck off the side walk and all I get was buddy swearing at me tell me to find off and get a life and other things all the time he was here . I would not recommend this company to my enemy
These guys WERE AWFUL. They moved our stuff all right but they stole all the liquor (about $300-400 worth) from our liquor cabinet, including a sentimental bottle of wine from my cousins wedding. We got the cabinet back but none of the …
Good prices, professional managers, but the people they hire locally for loading/unloading leave a LOT to be desired. We have moved a lot due to military service and frequent transfers (approx. 30 moves), but we have never experienced the amount of damaged and destroyed furniture. Absolutely disgraceful. So far, we have spent over $3,000 replacing the damaged items. Why didn't we submit a claim for damages? Because we are completely DONE with this company. Caveat emptor.

This company damaged a piece of furniture it was handeling. I called them the day they delivered the box and explained the item was damaged. The company stated that as I signed for it they did not care. Not there problem. In reality opening this box and checking it is not practical. A reputable company would of at least looked into our concern. STAY AWAY if you have any options.

From a customers email - we were exceptionally satisfied with your company’s service for all various aspects of our move. This includes our interaction and dealings with Ryan at our initial meeting through to the boxes being promptly picked-up post the completion of the move. Ryan, and other staff, provided us with ample boxes and packing materials and on all occasions help me load these materials into my vehicle. The movers were very conscientious for both the pick-up and off-loading of our furniture.

We moved from Bedford NS to middle of nowhere Quebec mid-May 2026. We had moved frequently via military transfers and the majority of moves utilized North American Van Lines. Since we have always been happy with the great service and care from North American, it was a now brainer to use them again for our own personal move. We contacted Guardian Transfer in Dartmouth. Ryan, from Guardian, dropped by our home and completed an estimate for us.

Great experience using Guardian Transfer for my move from Ontario to Alberta. Relocation consultant Ryan O'Hearn was excellent with communication throughout the entire moving process, provided a very reasonable and accurate quote and was a pleasure to work with. Driver Mike was timely, also a great communicator and was very efficient with the unloading process. Overall a great experience and would recommend using Guardian for anyone doing a long distance move.

We planned on meeting and getting quotes from 3 moving companies for our move from Wolfvillle back to ON. When I called about the third, the gent on the line also mentioned he dispatched for another one we had not been considering (North American) so I said sure set that one up too (a 4th quote). The 4th one was Ryan O'hearn from Guardian. After meeting Ryan and talking to him, we found him to be fair, honest, personable, professional, helpful and always ready to answer questions and respond quickly.
