Happy Helpers Moving Co

I would not recommend Happy Helpers. They packed our belongings and several items were broken in the process. Prior to the move, they physically came to our home, saw exactly what needed to be moved, and provided both a quote and an estimated timeframe of one day. Despite this, the move took a total of three days. On the first day, they did not finish due to a 6:00 PM building cutoff for move-outs. We were told they would return at 8:00 AM the following day.

0/5 – Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Overcharged Me I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with this moving company and want to warn others to stay away. I hired them to move only five pieces of furniture, yet the service I received was careless, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. They sent two movers, but one of them was clearly not capable of doing the job.

If I can give ZERO stars I would. First off, before the move even started, the "dispatcher" called me and informed me that one of the guys suffered an injury to their hand, BUT they do not have anyone else, or time slots available to reschedule, so they would "tough it out". The two movers they sent walked into my home wreaking of marijuana. They looked at the place and modified their ORIGINAL estimate to lower because I decided to not bring my dining room table and chairs. They started the move well.

So I moved into my home on 19 August, which is now almost 2 months ago, and I have tried really hard not to leave any bad reviews for a company trying to give them a chance, but this has been just unacceptable and I felt I had to leave this review. The move it self was not bad because my family and I did a lot of work to have everything boxed or wrapped so all that was needed was movers packing and movibg from an apartment to our house 3 miles away.

We had an extremely bad experience with this company. No furniture was wrapped, and expensive furniture messed up. We got some money back that did not pay for the damage. This happen in 2023 but it took a lot of time and negotiation to get money back. I hope they do better. We are moving again this month and definitely not calling these guys again. edit to address owner response: 1. This is incorrect. You significantly under evaluated the weight of our damaged items. 2. This is incorrect.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. They sent 2 people for a 4 people job. They estimated 5 hours and took 7. Upcharged me another $350- which would be fine but they didn’t properly staff our move. The office called the moved multiple times, pulling one of the two guys away thus making them take even longer. In addition, they told us they’d arrive between 8-10am and didn’t get there till noon.

I had originally scheduled my move for a Saturday. The time they had initially set up for my move kept getting pushed back and I accepted the new time. Since I had been sitting around waiting by the phone and looking out the window for these guys for hours, when the time got pushed back, I decided I would do some household chores. Since I knew the new time-frame of arrival, I figured I could go about doing my work and not worry about phone calls from the movers.

I was really excited about hiring a company to help us move for the first time. I had done it myself so many other times and wanted to make this move easy and stress free. I specifically hired Happy Helpers because they are veteran owned. I am a veteran, so they offered a small discount. Win win, right? Well, not so much. Leading up to the moving day, they were great and made a lot of promises. Told us we were in good hands and they'd take care of us.
